If you do not fire a loaded cannon after a certain point it will auto fire. This is normal.

I might be wrong but I feel like the metal pieces at the ramp entrance are stock? I have never seen a T2 without them, and they are even present on the pinball arcade emulation.
Point being, you need them or else your ramp doesn't stand a chance. I wish I could help you locate a set. Maybe someone else here knows?

100% of the time it auto fires if you do not shoot by the end of the cycle
your machine works fine and there is no setting to change this.
Think about it. If the ball just sat in the cannon forever you could just wait until the other balls in play were under control. This would make hitting the supers way easier then they already are once you figure out the timing.
Piper that "topper" is hilarious in a kinda awesome way. Is there any possibility of putting LEDs on the cannon barrels to simulate them firing?
Also, what's going on with that MM translight?
