I’m going through my T2 and I have a broken part I cannot seem to locate anywhere. It is the frame and eyelet for the relay on the drop target assembly. Does anyone have one? Or know a source that might. I can probably rig the old part up just to make it playable. But I don’t want to

Here is a pic of what I need

Oh yeah thought I’d share the progress. Fully disassembled and cleaned. Waiting on cliffy’s to arrive and to find that frame and eyelet.

Quoted from Fezmid:

I was thinking about replacing my playfield with a new one... After seeing these pictures, I'm glad I didn't! I'm with breaking_dad -- I was super proud when I rebuilt a flipper on T2... :/ What you're doing looks way too intimidating.

I enjoy completely tearing one down. When I finish it’s like playing the game when it was brand new. I’ll never get my money back for all the time but that is why it’s a hobby and not a job.

You could conquer it btw. You just have to take a ton of pics

This is the only picture I had that shows it from my shop out. It has a 6/32 machine screw screwed through the bottom of the plastic through the metal skull plate. Then the skull sits on top of the screws and a nylon nut attaches it to the plastic. Hope that helps.

Quoted from ypurchn:

Bump for ya. You’re always helpful with more advanced stuff and I wish I could return the easy favor but Doc has me on a 5 lb lifting limit at the moment, so, I can’t pull the glass to measure these. If someone doesn’t get back with you by Saturday I’ll have my dad pull the glass when he comes up.

Quoted from snakesnsparklers:

Thank you!

I am actually referring to the flat plastic at the top of the left ramp, sorry for the confusion.
[quoted image]

Oh I see. It looked like some type of machine screw was supposed to be used, as the ramp appeared to be threaded for them, but mine had been replaced with some random screw and stripped them. I ended up using a sheet metal screw with a Phillips head to match the other screws in my game. Sorry I can’t help more

Quoted from Chitownpinball:

Sorry to bust your bubble bro but your general illumination looks to be OUT.

To each their own with the choice of lights but his GI is clearly not out. Just not super bright

#7180 6 months ago

I buy 2835 2smd frosted domes from comet for all of my playfield GI. I color match the inserts with a variety of different types of bulbs. On top of that I add a 10 LED strip in the trough

Here is what the T2 I just traded looked like. I’m picking up another T2 next week. I’ll do the same to it but I’m going to add a couple of spot lights as well

Oops sorry for the double post lol

Quoted from phoenix_iii:

Has anyone noticed that prices for T2 pins are down? Or, is the market softening, or just lucky people offloading? Avg price looking around $2500 now for clean machines.

No. I sold one a month ago for over $3000. I have a friend who sold two last year, each for $3200. No bubble bursting here I’m afraid

I wouldn’t let my current one go for $2500 and I haven’t even gone through it yet

Quoted from Archytas:

Left the club a few months ago, sold mine for around $3200. When I started looking a similar example game would be around $1500 but that was six years ago...

For sure. T2 and all other pins are not declining in value. Nice condition T2 machines are closing in on $3k. Of course there are lot of these with blown out playfield which lowers the price significantly. It would be nice if all pins would go back to being cheap again but I doubt it happens any time soon

Quoted from embryonjohn:

I gotta say this about the playfield: this game is royal pain in the ass to shop!
Especially the upper area. Damn!
I’ve shopped out well over 100 games and I’m left just shaking my head. Is it as bad as I think it is or am I just low on the coffee?

Hmmm. I didn’t think it was that bad but I really didn’t like how the plastics attached together.
