My game came without the hunter ship and I ordered the one from Marco. It doesn’t quite look like the picture which shows more definition and darker colors representing windows etc. I guess it will have to do... does anyone have a good photo of one mounted I can use as a guide? Also I hate how that area is so dark on the game - what has everyone done to improve that?

Quoted from cmack750:

Did you also buy the mounting wire for the ship? You'll need that too.....
https://www.marcospecialties.com/pinball-parts/12-7009
You can also get those on eBay for about 7 bucks shipped if you don't want to pay the shipping with Marco and don't need additional parts.
For lighting, I bought a $5 adhesive led strip from cointaker and just attached it to the bottom of the ship. Alligator clipped to the GI under the playfield. Helps a lot. See post #6653 in this thread, where I attached a pic of the lighting with that strip installed.

Thanks for the response. I bought the kit with the mounting bracket and screws I’m just not sure exactly where to screw it in and attach it. Definitely going to look into the LED strip because it is so dark over there. I hate moding games but in this case it needs some light. Your led strip suggestion sounds great. Thanks also for your post reference.

Quoted from snakesnsparklers:

That's not the only answer for WPC games!
You can apply the WPC ghost patch to early WPC games like T2 which works great. I have done so and I use cheap LED (NOT non-ghosting) and I have zero ghosting artifacts on my game. PM me if you want and I can send you the modified rom or burn for you.

Mine has ghosting as well and I have the profanity old rom set (I didn’t install it). Was planning to update to latest code since I read the profanity set was on older code. Do I also need to apply a patch to the latest code or is that the patch itself?

My CPU lights (see photo) appear to have a hack repair. Someone wired the board for them to another bulb socket and it appears they only turn on when that bulb would otherwise turn on. I'm assuming these should be wired somewhere else. While I intend to go through the schematic I was wondering if anyone could just confirm I am right in that these should ultimately be wired back to the backbox somehow. I saw no obvious cuts or missing wires in the harness. See photos.

Just to clarify - those 3 or 4 pins in the photo had a harness on them that led to another bulb socket in the game. I took that out. I highly doubt Williams wired it that way (and the molex connector was not an IDC one like all the others telling me it was an aftermarket "quick fix".

Further research indicates that this is connected to the GI circuit. I wonder how / where?

Is that drop target one from the factory or a mod?

#6876 5 years ago

These parts were installed in my T2 when I got it in place of the Hunter Ship which I am sure broke long ago. I am not really a fan of mods or toys in my game so they came out and I put the Hunter Ship back where it should be. Does anyone here have interest in these toys or not? Not sure if they have any value? People seem to spend a money on these things but maybe its only worth something if I put a lightbulb in it first ( )

If anyone is interested let me know. Make me a reasonable offer that covers shipping and my time to box it up. Happy also to trade for parts for any of the games I own. Anything is reasonable like flipper rebuild parts, etc.
