Hey everyone. I started a new topic and would like some feedback on some new artwork for T2. Let me know what you think. Thanks.

Quoted from loscanones:

This is how it looks for me:
Backbox decals design is good, colors-blue- are little too bright.
Side decals are bad. Those flames should not be there, you have large empty-black sections on the upper side while lower side looks overcrowded with graphics. Blue color of the flames -side decal- does not match blue color from the backbox decals.
Same for front decal: All graphics on the lower side, empty space on the center-upper side.

While I do respect your opinion I do need you to realize that there may seem like too much vacant space, but there is just as much as the original. I even measured and also have an extra half inch for over hang application purposes. Only thing that would bring the art up higher is the "williams" logo (which I'm not putting on it). Not to mention you need to count for the two inches of side rails that hang over. Same goes for the front when it comes to the original art. When you have a gun, start button, lock down bar in place it should be better. I plan to get the first prints this week and I will post pics. Then we can really see how it looks.

Quoted from loscanones:

It`s just my impression -and feedback...nothing evil inside my comments and nothing against you.
I can see many owners trying to "upgrade" their machines, changing decals, translites and pretty much everything. Sadly, that machine will have nothing to do with the original - and most of the time will look like crap.
New sound boards for pinball? Why not buying a RaspberryPi and connect it to your machine, it will make "cool" things but it will never be the same machine. It`s like a vintage-lookalike jukebox with an MP3 player inside. Disgusting.
Not to mention crazy prices asked for a printed piece of paper or mylar. Not to mention crazy prices for almost anything.
Oh yeah, people are making few lousy bucks out of everything...
I`ve changed decals on my T2 because there was no other option, everything was destroyed.
I bought Chrome edition decals because it looks pretty much like original, only color theme is modified and it will match with chromed elements from playfield and around. Quality was excellent. I mean professional quality not crappy printed paper.
I strongly believe that originals should be preserved as much as possible and improvements should not alter the initial design and concept.
Most of the people will not like or accept my ideas, pinball is nowadays a profitable business and nothing else.
Passion is dead, long live almighty Dollar.
Take my comment as it is, nothing personal...just a reflection about what`s going on the market.

The orignal cabinet was gauged and the original paint was literally falling off. Had to sand it down to wood. The only time I have done different decals for a machine is when I feel like it could use it, and it also depends on the machines rarity. T2 is not a rare game to find. The quality of vinyl I get is great. High gloss too. When I restored my BTTF I thought about doing custom art, but decided against and got new original decals. When it comes to the decals of a machine - it doesn't affect the game itself. You don't play the cabinet. These rest of the machine is all factory (except LED's). I really do only try to improve on machines rather than degrade them. Which is why I get feedback from others before making a change. If this art turns out to be no good. I'll get/make another version. I'll post a pic of a custom SH decal set I made. The reason I changed the art was because the entire cab was water logged and had to be completely rebuilt. Thank you for your input guys.

Quoted from loscanones:

Why not a Chrome set of decals?

The cabinet that was rebuilt was the Spy hunter. The T2 in question is simply due to price. I can design my own and a buddy of mine can print them for me.

Quoted from loscanones:

Too bad colors from backbox are not matching -at all- the main decal.
Trimming job was poorly done and support paper is not the best choice (judging by the way it looks on the edges).
Otherwise, if you like it, that`s ok for a -very-low budget project.
By the way, those plastic protectors on the corners should be removed. Will destroy (wrinkle) your decals and they look bad.
I use them as a temporary solution when i applied decals but metal ones should be used as a permanent solution.

Wow. Everyone is a critic. Especially on this site. The colors match, but the lighting in this room is horrible. The ceiling light is making that backbox decal much brighter than it really is. Thanks for the criticism though.

Did you completely remove the grounding strip or did you roll it in with the rest of the cables?
