Quoted from humanoid:Every example is Diamond Plate; T2 was the first game in this regard. That being said, T2 was a massively popular game, remaining on route for years (even in the late 2000s when pinball was dead, I still remember seeing one floating around my hometown). It can be tricky to find one with a nice playfield because of this, but they are out there.
Thanks for that. Perfect timing for the popularity back in the day. We had a T2 in our small town arcade too. Lots to do, fun, good theme. I'm hoping the one being pitched to me as part of a trade is in great shape. Just waiting on some pics and whatnot to be able to check it out more closely.
Was there a point in time where Williams suggested or recommended to change the flipper coils out from red to blue? To go a little less strong? The manual says red (FL-11630) however I see a number of games with the blue coils (FL-11629).
Quoted from jibmums:Red/11630 to blue/11629 is actually a step UP in strength.
Thanks. I had that backwards.
Quoted from lowbeau67:im removing everything topside.
is there an easier way to remove the silver metal posts .
it takes me forever to get these out.
i take the locknut off and then since they are round i put
painters tape on them and then use taped pliers to twist out.
takes forever.
maybe im an idiot or something but there has to be an easier way.
i tried knocking on them but it seemed like i was gonna
break / mar something on playfield.
thx

The base of those posts is a hex head. You can use an open ended wrench or a deep socket if you have one long enough.
Quoted from lowbeau67:They all feel and look round to me
Gotcha. Some are round at the base. Not the ones you shared the photo of though. My bad. Continue with the pliers.
