Quoted from QuarterGrabber:

But how do you wire it to your machine?

I did it for my ST:25th. They have 6v and 12v EL wire. In my case I have a sound controller hooked up near the sub. So on high-bass events the EL wire will pulse. Meanwhile not picking up any outside signals. For a wire-form always on or activated by audio is pretty cool. EL Wire Pros have several diameter EL wire as well.

I'm finally in "The Club!"--My T2 is finally done..
As a sidenote, does anyone have any suggestions to make the translite "pop" better?? As in maybe Led's? Tx Greg

I have red leds behind the terminator logo, cool white on the left and right sides, and warm white behind arnolds face. Looks great.

Man you are doing all kinds of beautiful restores. Didn't you just do one on WCS 94 too? Do you only do your own restores or do you take work on too?

#3355 8 years ago

Yes I did
I do restores whenever I have the time, but like most other pinheads, time is something I don't have an abundance of
I'm also a huge operator in MI
Did T2 first, and then the WCS afterwards
Working on a Roadshow right now (almost done)
And I'm gonna start a TZ a week or so from now, with new cab decals, Color DMD, playfield strip down top and bottom, etc

#3363 8 years ago

I have two chrome T-1000 mods left from the latest batch if anyone is interested.

One of them is a "second" so it's cheaper.

Hi,
Need some T2 help.
What is the part number for the "yellowed post" on the image?

Thank you.
Should it be bigger than the black post? Also is original color white?

#3367 8 years ago

White would be terrible to keep clean. Go with whatever you think would match that area.

#3368 8 years ago
Quoted from tezting:

The original color on that is yellow!

Thank you very much for the help

I have one more question (might come more as I take T2 apart for restoration).
Should the "tip" of the kickback look like this:

Noooooo. It should not be mushroomed. It should have a nylon tip screwed into it. Kind of of like this:

Not sure if this one will work but you get the idea.

I don't think that yellow post sleeve is correct, it should be a black sleeve like the one next to it. I don't recall there being any yellow posts on T2.

You may be right - but I also had one yellow sleeve on my T2. I am replacing all of those posts with Yellow ones after the rebuild though - so I know they will be yellow moving forward .

#3373 8 years ago

I liked what Todd at TNT Amusement did with a T2 (YouTube) where they put in clear pop bumper caps & used all red post sleeves from Cliffy's.

I had a yellow one on mine there too. However I changed all my post sleeves to red cliffy's.

Metal Shavings = Not good

#3377 8 years ago

Based on the flyer photo and copyright office photo, I think that post sleeve was originally yellow. Perhaps Steve Ritchie liked to include one yellow post sleeve in his designs. STTNG and Getaway have one also. The part number is 23-6552.

Do anyone know why they drilled holes in the bottom of the playfield?

#3380 8 years ago

Practice!!

#3381 8 years ago

Slings were probably mounted too far back.

#3382 8 years ago

remove excess weight. It's probably illegal now...

#3383 8 years ago

The decal under the right ramp, do anyone know where I can buy it?
I am not able to find any information about it.

#3384 8 years ago

I may have a nos decal, but I am in Australia. So if you are interested I can see if I have one.

#3385 8 years ago

I'm in the middle of a playfield tear down and realized I'm missing a ball guide, I've made a wire guide that may work for the time being but I'd like to track down this part... If anyone's parting out or knows where one is for sale lemme know!! It's the guide pictured with the 2 screws circled red and the guide circled blue.. I might even be able to make one if I had better pics and measurements....

So one pf my hunter killer target lighys isnt working and its bothering the hell out of me. Its the most bottom one. Ive changed bulbs, put in working twist sockets to no avail. I can measure an elctrical spike when it gets power but once the bulb is in it doesnt spike nearly as high. Any ideas? Im not seeing anything wrong and ha e follwed the wire all over and it works everywhere else.

#3387 8 years ago

check for a cracked solder joint on the light board

#3388 8 years ago

also check the diode on the board for that socket.

If you are using LEDs, try a known working incandescent.

#3389 8 years ago

Thanks ill check it out now.

#3390 8 years ago

Its a bad diode. Anything I can do to fix it without having one on hand? Have a big bbq later!

EDIT: Found a diode on a spare coil that's a match. Awesome. Thanks guys

#3391 8 years ago

Anyone who had the original brite caps on their t2 should check the new evo versions out. TOTALLY SWEET. One of my originals was acting up and I saw the new ones were available...couldnt resist.

Before and after. AND they flash when they get hit.

Not sure this is the best place to ask, but what's the going rate on these tables these days and has the new movie jacked the price up at all? I'm considering swapping out a table and I used to play this thing quite a lot back in college for a couple years while it was in the rec room there.

#3393 8 years ago

I bought a LED kit from coin taker. I mentioned to Melissa that I wanted a lot of blue like I have seen in other LED'd T2's. There are 6 blue super premiums. Is this enough to really make the blues pop or should I order some more blues? Thanks

Just curious.... for those who put in LED's... how many blue ones did you put in?

I just put a few in by the terminator head. Mostly all cool whites. This is because T2 has no spot lights so I want to see the ball.

Just in the inserts. Cool white is the way to go.

I am a huge Terminator fan. Just saw Terminator Genisys. I am going out on a limb here. There will never be a Terminator Genisys machine built. Ever....

And I believe that Genisys hurt the value of my T2. ha ha
