Sign me up. Lets see some pics of mods you've got! First question, has anyone ordered stuff from the places over seas? How did it work out? Shipping time?

Not T2 related but I order parts from Pinball.co in Australia and the rates were semi-reasonable + I got it to California within a week! It was awesome! I would definitely recommend these guys as they have funky Capcom e.t.c. parts that are hard to find in the U.S.

I'll be back (in Arnold voice).... once I get a T2 pin!

#5 11 years ago

Must one have on a cheesy coat from the late seventies early eighties to get past the velvet rope?

Do club members get a tshirt?

#7 11 years ago

It's all T2 these days......

#9 11 years ago

OK, I'll post the first T2 question. I recently got a glare guard for my T2, which I absolutely love. However, on the right underside of the guard, there is a reflection of light coming off the table. Looking closer, I suspect it's coming from one of the three GI bulbs in the very back right corner. On the plastic top, there is a small oval where some wiring is going down through, and one of the 3 bulbs is shining right through this small opening. There are two other bulbs next to it, but are not exposed by the opening. Anybody else have this same small opening? Should I just pull that one bulb to take the reflection off the bottom of my glare guard? Seems like the other two would illuminate the back corner just fine. Heck, I'm not even sure anyone would notice if the entire corner wasn't lit, so two bulbs should be more than enough. Thoughts?

I'll look into getting Shirts made. T-Shirts & Button Front!

#11 11 years ago

I'll be getting my T2 in a couple of weeks.

#12 11 years ago

Congrats! Plenty of cool mods! You'll see them all here eventually...

#13 11 years ago

Here are some photos of my sample T2 machine

http://gallery.myhomegameroom.com/gallery/t2_sample

It's been torn down completely and rebuilt. It plays well, it's just ugly

Unfortunately, the samples and protos were not diamondplated, so the playfield is beat. The cabinet is rough as well, and the artwork is different on protos and samples than production games

It's a neat piece of history, which is why I kept it, and why I spent 100+ hours reconditioning it.

#14 11 years ago

Neat John- That pin has been played plenty, it's too bad. Never seen a proto besides the video where Steve Ritchie shows off the pin. Really cool red light boards, no decal at the cannon and blue side panels/blue backside. Without looking, different speaker grille too?

#15 11 years ago

and in other news- Exactly how many stock images of the t-1000 are in/on the Pin? I think I've counted three. The right side plastic, the back wall decal and a dmd animation- anyone see any more?

#16 11 years ago

My first pin I ever owned. Absolutely love it, it will never leave the bunker, groundbreaker for w/b with the video mode.

I am down with buying some T2 club exclusive shirts. I can use them for my upcoming tournament if they are ready. I like where this is going!

#18 11 years ago

I love the club idea. I'd like to see the mods ideas etc. I just emailed Andy at judgedreddpinball last night about a lighting mod for side targets the cannon fires to.
Super thread!!

I'm in! My T2 is awesome and t-shirts would be sweet. I've been doing tons of work to it and I recently decided to just go nuts and upgrade the hell out of it (work in progress). I think at some point I would like to do a PF swap, but I think it's going to be extremely difficult to find a NOS or Like New PF that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Once I get some extra cash I'll start shopping for one and see what I come up with...

Yes, there are a few other little differences, too.

As you mentioned, the speaker grilles are 'W' logos, not solid red.

The backboard decal is missing - wasn't installed on samples or protos. Same for the underramp decal on the right ramp. The ramp had no protectors - I got a set from a partout and put them on a new Pinball inc ramp, as the original was just destroyed. The metal bracket under the H/K ship was flat, no 90 degree bend like production.

The gun handle was made using a different type of casting compared to production games.

Some colors on the playfield were different. Some lettering on the lower cab is different. There are probably other minor things I'm forgetting.

#24 11 years ago

Hey...sell it and get a nice minty one...

#25 11 years ago

Let's all get some pix of us with our machines!

Oof, what a difference a DiamondPlate makes. Still looks badass though!

Thanks for the pics.

Did I come to the right thread?????? Is this the poor man's ACDC club?????

#41 11 years ago

Does anyone know where you can pick up this apron?

image_015.jpgimage_015.jpg

#42 11 years ago

Wow. Never seen that before. That's cool. I have the lit pinballdreams one, and I thinks that's just as cool.

#43 11 years ago

Pinball Dreams off Germany is the manufacturer of that apron. People who call T2 a poor mans AC/DC obviously have not played enough pinball. Hey look its a cannon and ACDC has a cannon. Its cheaper so its a poor mans ACDC. What a terrible conclusion.

#44 11 years ago
Quoted from exflexer:

What a terrible conclusion.

I thought the same.

#45 11 years ago

Get tha supa jackpot! T2 my first and probably most played pin. I owe my interest in this hobby to the extremely poor condition T2 I spent soooo many nights learning to repair.

#46 11 years ago

pinball decals is now selling the silver flippers and buttons. I installed them last week.
