Hi,

I have a T2 that was modded in the past for one of those lasers on the cannon. Since the unit has an LED on top, it always hit the right metal return lane. The cannon would rotate as normal but get a bit of resistance getting pushed under the metal return lane. It deformed the laser aim, so it was useless and I decided to remove it. I unplugged the mod (see photo) and replugged the two original connectors back. All of this cannot be done wrong due to the shape and cable count of the molex connectors. However, the gun no longer rotates.

I went into diagnostic mode and tested the switched. The ball detection switch works fine. The home position switch works too. The Mark switch I cannot test but in the current position (home) it correctly states "no mark". As I cannot rotate the cannon manually I cannot further test the mark switch.
Turning on the motor in diagnostics just does not do anything. I checked connectors and followed the wires were I could but they vanish into the wire harnass, so I couldn't follow them further, but I would assume if I broke a wire it would be near the cannon and connectors. I checked some fuses like F116 which I think is the 12V for the cannon, but it was fine.

I'm hoping one of you might have an idea of what this could be.

Probably not related, but the reason I opened up the machine was to resolver the connector on the 5 target board that had gotten flaky. So ironically I went from you can shoot but not know the target to you can see the target but not shoot The only other modifications are replacement of some lamps for "electric looking" LEDs. There is also a short in the General Illumination that blows a fuse taking out the left side playing field lights.

Thanks!

Were any of these fuses/shorts blowing before you removed the mod? If you plug back in the mod does it work? After removing the mod have you tested with your MM to see if its receiving power? I don't have the manual in front of me but I would be looking at the wiring diagram and identifying where it starts and testing the components associated with its control.

Thanks
Blake
