Hi all,

I'm having the problem of my Terminator 2 blowing the left flipper fuse in fairly short order. I've done some searching, and based upon what I found here (https://groups.google.com/forum/m/#!topic/rec.games.pinball/MbLvIm6nWzw), I checked the diodes on the coil as well as the EOS switch. Both were fine; I went as far as to check the EOS switch with a multimeter to make sure there was no short happening.

Upon looking at the schematics, I also tested resistor R210 and R211, and they're within spec. The next step appears to be looking at position U7, but I really have no idea what it is or how to test it. If anyone could offer any advice, or say, "Woah, cowboy, you're going about this all wrong", I'd appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Hey,

I do have a 2.5 amp slow blow in there, which as far as the manual states is correct What I ended up doing was opening the EOS switch a bit more; I'm thinking it was gapped a little tight and may have "bounced" a bit and maintained enough intermittent contact to take out the fuse. Thanks for the advice, though (sometimes it's the obvious things).

Hey,

Just to clear things up, I pulled the coil out to test the diodes (they were fine), and since I had to solder anyhow, put a new coil in. Fired things up, and the fuse blew again. Gapped the EOS switch and was laughing. The original coil wasn't heating up (I've gone down that path before; everything was still nice and smooth).
