I’m trying to temporarily hook up my flippers on a home brew so I can work on my shot layout. I have the flipper direct wired to a Meanwell SE-600-48 48 volt power supply.

The flippers I am using are classic stern flippers with a J-25-475/34-4500 coil. I have been told it is a series wound coil.

I currently have it wired as shown below.

The green light on the power supply is on until I hit the flipper button then the green light goes out. The flipper does not flip at all.

    What am I doing wrong?

I hooked it up based upon the direction I received in this thread.

My fault.. I thought the “power” was the negative lead.

Ugh!! So much to learn along the way to build this. I don’t know crap about electricity or computers. I have an uphill battle ahead of me.

Either I really love pinball or really enjoy being frustrated and pissed off. Haha

The flipper I wired correctly works. I’m afraid that the diodes are fried on the one I wired wrong...
