Adding online content is a great idea! The one issue I can see with it is online competition of any sort. What is to stop someone from playing with the glass off on their home machine? Using it to track an individual player's progress across plays and machines would work though. Another benefit I could see is being able to see how your machine plays compared to others across the globe by comparing average scores and other metrics.

I've been very impressed with what I have seen on TMNT and I think it will be my first Stern. It is a family friendly theme that my wife approves of and the ruleset looks like it will work great in a home environment. I was initially thinking Pro, but after re-watching the streams I am starting to learn toward the Premium. The one thing I don't really care for on the Premium is the purple cabinet artwork. For those in on a Premium, what made you decide on that over the Pro or LE?

Thanks for the replies! Some of the things that I heard that struck me were hearing Dwight and John talk about the bidirectional spinning disk having a big impact on the game. The other was hearing that the diverter allows the ball to return to either flipper making the Premium/LE slightly easier than the Pro, which is good for me since I suck at pinball . I agree that the LE has the best art package, but I have a tough time justifying the $9k price. Plus I am looking to buy in the fall and they'll probably be gone by then, so it'll be a moot point anyway. Looking forward to hearing people's impressions when they receive their machines.
