Quoted from hawkfanz:Wouldn’t you see a gap between the pizza and the play field though? My ocd couldn’t take that. I’d rather take a few dents on the playfield.
My eyes are not that good. If you like a few dents, go the dents.

Quoted from durgee7:Agreed. I have one on my data east tmnt and there is a cutout for the spinning pizza. I didn't adjust the disc height but it's possible for the ball to get hung up within the relatively low disc area.
I think if you fit the protector properly and make the adjustments, you should be fine.
Quoted from delt31:There is prob a cut out for it but save yourself the hassle as the protector will make it play differently. I wouldn't buy one.
I had a protector on my mmr and I couldn’t tell the difference but then again I’m more of a casual player.
Sterns playfields over the last few games have been very hit or miss and after witnessing the qc nightmare on stranger things. Any newer stern I buy new or used is getting a protector.

There was alot of talk about moving the button on BKSOR. Did anyone actually modify their BKSOR for this? Like drill a new hole for another button, or run a wire to a simple surface mounted switch near the flipper buttons. Simple solution.
Quoted from delt31:There is prob a cut out for it but save yourself the hassle as the protector will make it play differently. I wouldn't buy one.
You would also get heaps of dust under the protector due to that cut out. It would do my head in!

Don’t protectors make the pinball slide around like you’re playing on ice?
I have a protector on my F-14. Feels no different to me than playing on the factory mylar. It's one of the newest protectors using the new thinner material. I've never compared a clearcoated machine with one on tho so not sure if there is a difference there.
Quoted from Satismaxtion:Just got a message from stern on Instagram. TMNT pro is just going into production and still needs a testing phase.
Thanks for sharing! Safe to assume June arrival is unlikely at this point?

Probably

Unless their production is at a crawl due to covid, they should ship in June easily.
Quoted from chuckwurt:Unless their production is at a crawl due to covid, they should ship in June easily.
Supposedly the COVID considerations for the stations to minimize potential infection exposure is cutting their output from 50-70 per day to 20-30. But they just got restarted like 10 days ago, so hopefully they can get closer to normal output as they work through the new normal.
From the rest of our conversation testing can either take hours or days depending on the game. But they are on the production line so hopefully soon!
Quoted from Soulstoner:The wait is killing me! First pinball table so I'm itching to get it while I'm stuck at home all summer.
Itching enough that I'm considering canceling the TMNT deposit and going straight for Deadpool Pro with plans to add TMNT later!
Deadpool is already a known winner and if it's your first pinball then not a bad idea as then you can see if you like TMNT later. They will be making it for the next couple years.

Deadpool is awesome and the code is pretty mature, but if you're going to make the change, get the Premium. Waiting until TMNT's been out for a while as you enjoy the proven awesomeness of Deadpool Premium would not be a bad plan.

yeah, go with the pro! i did the same and its more than enough, especially if you want to add a second machine later (of corse you will...)
Just watched the original tmnt with my kids for the first time. Haven't seen it in awhile.... Movie holds up well.
Quoted from delt31:Just watched the original tmnt with my kids for the first time. Haven't seen it in awhile.... Movie holds up well.
I watched the first one a few nights ago. I probably saw it before, but you are right it holds up well. I started to watch the second one and it's just a little too goofy at the start so I stopped watching. Kids would probably still love it though!

We are watching the original cartoon again. I bought the whole series on DVD. Also busted out my Super Nintendo and was replaying Turtles in Time. That has been my all time favorite game. I used to do speed runs on it about 12 years ago. Such a great game.

I'm actually putting this TMNT LE next to my TMNT and TMNT Turtles in Time Arcade cabinet. Good tastes!
I'm a little disappointed that I can't fit functionally get the game into my house with the box. I picked up my Wonka from the factory in NJ, but had to take it sans box. This TMNT is likely coming unboxed from my distributor to effectively get it moved from the delivery location to my home. I have a 5-year-old so I kind of want the box as an easy play fort for her.
So pumped to start seeing these games get into the homes of collectors, and, soon thereafter, on location.
Quoted from pb456:For those wondering, it looks like late June is the ship date for TMNT Pro, I have one on order and expect it mid-late July in Alaska. Definitely excited to have it on location.
Damn was hoping early but ok. Haha

If you have the dist slide the box off, it can be collapsed into something that should fit in your vehicle. Fort saved.

In this instance, wouldn't it be a lair?
Quoted from ectobar:In this instance, wouldn't it be a lair?
Maybe his daughter isn't a fan and wants a fort instead.

It will end up being a princess castle, but I will call it a lair.

Given the propensity for negatively fueled discussion around here, this may actually be an indicator of general acceptance thus far due to a well done unveiling along with demonstrating what appears to be solid code. We have entered the calm before the shipping storm

I sure as hell am excited to play one!
Anyone know when they will be shipping?

Playing with turtles has become passé. Fear of catching Salmonella by playing a pinball machine crawling with turtles, has cooled buyer interest.

Sure - shipping soon
Quoted from Whysnow:I sure as hell am excited to play one!

Sounds like late this week or early next.
the thing what gots me is the flow of the combos.
i am expecting a JP2 combo feeling, just not as hard and complex.
but i think its getting old very fast... (just another stern...)
the more games i have the faster they get boring, i think im addicted.
Quoted from DVDA:does the flipper gap look about the same as ghost busters?
definitely not GB wide. Probably more like Borgs other recent games: Munsters, GOTG, MET.
Quoted from DVDA:does the flipper gap look about the same as ghost busters?
No. The only person that does that is in prison.
Quoted from chuckwurt:No. The only person that does that is in prison.
Not anymore. He was released early (unless he's back in and I didn't hear about it). Talk about LIGHT SENTENCE.
EDIT: HOLY Crap. He's back IN? That's what the record seems to indicate now. Plus this facility has a COVID-19 outbreak, so it's not looking good...

Just put him in general population and be done with it
