Super jealous of all these homes, locations, and LE owners out there. LE looks a lot better than I thought it would. Cmon Stern, let's get those Pros for people without locations or a hookup going again!

Yes Stern please send my pro ASAP...or else I might just do something I might regret like buy more useless TMNT stuff

I think the pizza eating contest is cool(like SW tie fighters) but it seems a bit too easy as it is. Maybe in the future it can be reworked so it’s on a timer with the ability to eat as much as you can button smash and your points go up as your pizza slices go down instead of topping out at 40....and maybe add a pizza eating campion on the leaderboard. I’m waiting as patiently as possible to get my game so excuse my long thoughts. One last thing great work “Xaqery” “JB” and all who put this Mondo pin together

Looks good... I grabbed a Krang also and I’m glad I did. I’m thinking of adding a led inside but not sure it’s going to fit. I’m not sure where/what to connect it to.

Just got my pro today...build date of July 30th. The playfield is a bit grainy if you stick your face to the glass but I wouldn’t recommend playing that way . I took a picture of a Stranger Things pro just to help with comparison.

Man I got to level 4 on training and it feels like I just completed a mini wizard mode. I think a EB and/or a multiball would be a great reward for this. It would feel good and would offer a different path to a high score. The EB’s feel weird on the code, sometimes they pop up like no big deal and other times they just don’t come .

Just finished installing my first mod...Krang has landed! Now when a Krang hurry up is running I’ll know to focus on his loops.

Had a fun game on my TMNT pro tonight. I used Raphael and played a 3 ball one player game with extra balls on. My game has super bands on the flippers. I made it to the final battle(finished it)and have to say that it was pretty intense and a really fun mode. I didn’t get to see Cowabunga but I got the feeling that I’ll see it soon. The only objectives I was missing was the max-Krang & triple-super....I guess next pin session.

Wow that is a game! My best is 45m and i havent come close since. Question. What pitch do you have your machine set to? I keep fiddling with mine.

I’m at 6.9/7 up top and 6.8 at the bottom next to the flippers. When I started “final battle” I noticed that I actually finished 7 of the 8 episodes so that probably helped.

Quoted from Chalkey:

Here is a 4 second video of my lair shot up post trapping the ball under the plastic. Can someone start a training mode and let me know if the post is not being held as long as it should be? This only happens when training is lit and shows you what shots you need. The switch seems to be working as it should, and this started right after the latest code update.

What pitch is your game set at? Looks like it might be sitting in the switch cutout a split second too long. Try a bit more angle on your playfield or a piece of Mylar over the switch so the ball doesn’t hesitate when the post goes down.

Quoted from konghusker:

Just played a pro again on location and my kid and I loved it. Question is if the pro has the same Krang call outs taunting as much as a premium or if the premium has more coded in along with the Krang toy? Debating on premium vs pro as pro really feels like the best deal. I like the van opening, but not $2k more, and honestly don’t care about diverted or two way disc. Thoughts?

Krang has call outs on the pro. When I was first flopping around pro/premium the Krang toy was the main thing I wanted so I just made one and now I’m totally happy with my choice.

I bought this mod a while back but haven't installed yet. The wiring is straightforward from the instructions. Is Krang held on by a single zip tie? That's my only question. Looks great!

I actually bought this from EBay and installed a light and hooked it up to the Krang arrow insert. I can now see when the combo is running as the light blinks when a Krang combo is running. I used 2 black zip ties to blend in with Krang....thanks man hope you get yours in soon because it looks good and actually helps.

Titans are one of the easiest to install...now if you’re putting on Super Bands get ready for a little bit of resistance.

Yep they were super bands. Tight and slippery.

That’s what I put on my TNNT and they seem to be working great on this pin. Whenever I put on Super Bands I try to stretch them as much as possible before installing them and it seems to help.

a quick question about Ninja Pizza Multiball. Does the parlor open after team up for a 2nd chance to multiball again?
Now with making more progress i think this happened but wasn't 100% sure what triggered it.
and i could not find anything about it in the rule sheed.

Yes after you play the team up mode you can play ninja pizza multiball And turtle power multiball again after they are qualified.

decent game? You bastard. hehe. best Ive done is 45m and 2nd is 31m. Game is hard!

This pin definitely tests your reactions because of how fast it is. I think a good way to attack this pin is to find the left ramp, right ramp and pizza parlor shot and once you’re comfortable with those shots the game will open up. If you can finish modes it usually leads to getting decent scores especially if you get to Team Up and Final Battle.

#4142 3 years ago
Quoted from mbrave77:

Yea Im starting to think I need to ignore 123 foot and weapon modes and just go complete episodes. this way get to team up and open multiball again

Quoted from Norcalpin:

Do you guys have a general strategy to get through the game/score high? I got my game a week ago and it seems my highest scores (20-25 million) come when I get the pizza multi-ball. The couple episodes I've done don't seem to add more than a couple million.

If you can level up your turtle to the max(30% extra on all scores)and make it to the final battle your score will be close or over 100 million but that’s a lot of shots and work. I find it helps to always go for the extra ball(starting modes) and don’t forget to go for the pizza eating contest. The first one really isn’t that many points but if you manage to get to the second and third they really start to payoff. I really don’t focus on multiball for scoring but to use them as a safety net to get through modes. If you do make it to the final battle don’t forget to start 2x scoring before you start it because it gives you a good bonus, and double bonus is always better.

Quoted from Scandell:

I’m so happy with this purchase. Left outlane is totally fair on mine. Lair shot is far from impossible like some has stated. Maybe it’s my away-team Star Trek skills being repurposed.

I’m sure ST is helping with the muscle memory on the lair shit. Once you get used to dropping the upper flipper to help guide the ball inside the lair...it becomes pretty consistent. Congrats on your your new pin.

#5631 3 years ago
Quoted from Vermont:

Thank you both! That detailed rulesheet is very helpful, and exactly the sort of thing I was looking for.
I still have so far to go. I still generally fail before making it to TUMB (as is, I've only done that twice so far other than in coop mode), and have yet to make it to the final battle. Fun!

Don’t pay too much attention to your score right now because you’re still learning the rules. I would spend a few days on just trying to get familiar with all the shots. Once you get familiar with the shots your score will start to reflect that. The other thing that comes with getting familiar with the shots is the game becomes more fun and you get to enjoy more of the code. Don’t be afraid to shoot at all the hard shots multiple times until they become comfortable. You can also just pick your weakest shot and do that shot over and over a few games, I know it sounds a bit boring but it will payoff in the long run.

Quoted from R_Coles:

Can I ask the method that you used to level it? I started getting airballs and confirmed it was the spinner. I think I have it leveled fairly well now using a straight edge and holding it against the spinner/play field but curious what other people have used.

That’s how I leveled my tmnt. You can also run something flat(like a metal ruler)from the bottom side of the disk(as if a ball was rolling over it) and see if it catches a edge, if it catches a edge then try to level it again.

#5818 3 years ago
Quoted from Norcalpin:

How does one re-light pizza multiball?

After you play “Team up” multiball you can start “pizza” and “Turtle power” multiball again...you just have to re-qualify them.

Quoted from gmanrulz46:

pizza eating button does not work. any suggestions? it just lights up.

I would try taking off the lockdown bar and use a pencil and push the switch(under the button)and if it works then you just need to adjust(bend)the leaf switch so it makes contact with the lockdown button.

Hey guys, what’s the best pitch for this game? If I hit the Shredder shot, I have a hell of a time hitting the Donny shot once it loops around. Every time I got it, it rattles out. Has anyone noticed a pitch that helps with flow?

I’m at 7.0 by the pizza parlor.

Quoted from Guinnesstime:

It's only a Pro, but go for it! This thing is tough as hell. Like I said, right now, I like to start off with Multiball (if you can bring a mode in, great but not necessary). Gotta warm up. Also whenever Multiball is available TAKE IT. If locks are enabled, take them. TMNT is about survival and hope you get in a groove. I swear I played a 10 minute game just before and finished with like 19,000,000. Felt like 300,000,000. Then I'll play 10 games under 4 million!

It seems like the key to a great score is getting to the final battle. If and when you get to it don’t forget to light your 2x scoring before you start final battle(left ramp)because you get a good chunk of points for all your modes you played. I like using Raphael and Leo depending on if I’m feeling lucky and want to utilize Leo’s training perk or Ralph’s made start perk. The other thing to keep in mind is extra balls. If you know how to get extra balls you can use them as stepping stones on the way to final battle. This pin is a fun smooth shooter that will punish you if you slip up...love it!

#6026 3 years ago
Quoted from Guinnesstime:

I don't know. The furthest I got was 2 qualifications away. Playfield multiplier with modes (plus completion) and multi ball jackpots etc. I barely got past Team Up.

I need to explore the multiball mode stack strat more but it seems like multiball is a lot of work for not a lot of points. When my score is above 100 million it’s after I have made it to final battle. It also helps to finish all the modes because they give you perks in all the mini wizard modes and it really helps you progress through the wizard modes.

#6029 3 years ago
Quoted from shaub:

Ninja Pizza MB can be pretty valuable if you can get the Octopus topping locked in and also collect a Super Jackpot or two. I think with 2X PF going super jackpots can be worth like 7 or 8 million points. Also, if you get 1 or more fudge topping, it makes it easier to light Mondo JP which, in turn, lights the Super JP.
At least for me, with two balls trapped on the left flipper, I can backhand into the Lair shot like 90% of the time.
One other suggestion, when mb starts aim for the Lair target to get 2X lit. Im no math-magician but I'm pretty sure 2X > 1X.

I’ll definitely give this a try sounds fun. I’ll probably try to add Raphael’s training level 3 perk extra playfield x and try to get the ice cream topping so mondo is lit at the start.

#6031 3 years ago
Quoted from shaub:

better yet, get the chili pepper and have super jackpot start lit.

My perfect pizza topping stack would be...ice cream, peppers, octopus, marshmallows, gummy bears. I haven’t played tmnt in a while but now I really want to see if I can build a pizza that can turn into a big payoff.

Just finished a pretty fun game(3 ball, single turtle)and ended up with a decent score. I played with Raphael and focused on training until I got to level 3. I wanted my playfield multiplier to be 3x with Ralph’s perk. I made it to the final battle and had 3x running before I started it so I cashed in on a 50 million bonus. I also kept my 3x running during final battle. Man once you get the speed down on this game it really starts to open up. Now I need to try a different turtle with a different strategy, and that’s another plus for this pin.

I wish I could play as Raphael, thats my girlfriends designated turtle (for high score purposes) so the only time I get to try him is in coop.

the other turtles and see if I can get a decent strategy to catch Raph’s GC.

Just got a pro and loving it! Buttery smooth and fast. But I first played on a premium and hate the pro having the up-post on autoplunge. I can't seem to find a setting to change that - anyone know if one exists?

Hold the left flipper in when you plunge and the post will go down and allow the ball to pass to the left side of the playfield.

3 weeks later
#6564 2 years ago
Quoted from Vermont:

In recent games on my premium I've noticed where occasionally the pizza parlor will not give credit for a shot into it. It will still release the ball if needed (like if multi-ball has already been used up) but I have had cases where it won't finish an episode when it should. It's maybe everything 6th or 7th shot this is now happening. Thoughts?

Might be a loose optic sensor or possibly miss alignment of the boards for the pizza parlor...that’s the first thing I would check. You can also double check the optic sensor connections under the playfield could also be the problem.

#6577 2 years ago
Quoted from Vermont:

Is there any way to easily get at the optic sensor in the pizza parlor? It seems like I'd have to take quite a bit apart to check that out, but this is my first pin and it's MORE likely that I am just missing how to do this properly.

Sorry man I haven’t had your issue on my pin so I really don’t have advice on how to take anything apart in that area...but on a side note I did use a pencil on my Elvira HOH to check the optics(and it was in a similar area)without taking anything apart.

Finally made it to COWABUNGA! Today on a one player game. Man this pin is just a blast to play once you get in the groove. The Cawabunga! Wizard mode was pretty cool to play and it was worth a lot of points. I earned 3 extra balls throughout this game so I had plenty of chances to get everything done. This was on factory settings and around 7.0 degrees on a pro.

After owning this pin for a year now and putting in lots of games I would like to see a few tweaks to the code to make this pin even better, and I also have a few code dreams. One big change could be that the turtle perks and/or scoring opportunities should be balanced in the next polish update. As of now Raphael is definitely the most powerful turtle to score with(+1x playfield multiplier and 3x mode multiplier) and its really not that close compared to the other 3 turtles. I think maybe all the turtles should get a playfield multiplier at training level 3 if completed, and a mode multiplier at training level 4 if completed to balance out the turtle perks. All the other turtle perks seem to be close and fairly balanced. It seems like if all the turtles would have these perks then one could choose any of the 4 and feel like you have a chance to get a GC score. I think the modes are great and love how they add perks to your wizard modes…if you complete them. Pizza parlor multiball is a good way to try and get a chunk of points if you stack your toppings right to max out your scoring opportunities. One thought I had would be to add a ‘weapon shot’ to the action button. Every time I time I collect a successful “weapon hurry up” I think how cool it would be to get a weapon added to your turtle to use during Episode battles. You would use this ‘weapon shot’ during a mode that you can give you a free mode shot. This might make the weapon hurry up feel much more worthy of the risk to go for it and add to the fun factor. This pin has lots of qualities that can make it one of the best and really is only a few code tweaks away from being one of the great ones…IMHO.

How are you guys getting these 100M+ scores?
I got to phase 2 of the Final Battle and still only had like 70M haha!
Also, for anyone interested, I have the full set of Cliffys available. It cost $65 from Spooky. Will ship it out anywhere in the USA/Canada for $50 flat.
PM me.

Try finishing as many modes as possible because they really add up to a nice cash out if you make it to “Final Battle”. Don’t forget to train Raphael to 3x on your way to Final Battle so you can take advantage of a rewarding 3x cash out…when and if you reach Final Battle. Raphael is definitely the most powerful turtle to use if you’re seeking a GC score. I hope/wish that we will have a update to help even out all the turtles and to get our wizard mode(Final Battle)working properly.

I've got beebop and rocksteady and shredder on the way. (FYI left Donatello helps block the notorious flying left ball drain from rail)

It’s definitely not easy but feels awesome when you get there! If you have got to the point where you only needed one more objective to complete then you should be able to get to it soon…good luck man!

Quoted from Grayont:

Whelp. After a month of owning the game I finally reached cowabunga!! I played it extremely lousily though so I didn’t even take down my GC score. I also ignored training since it’s not required and so I had fewer multipliers and scoring. I missed the left ramp to start it like 3 times on my last ball and I was so nervous haha!! Cowabunga dudes!!!!

Quoted from acons017:

Hoping to get some help with an odd issue that recently popped up.
When going for the pizza parlor shot (under the van), if the shot is off and to the right, I hear a loud clunk sound. It hits a metal corner just to the left of the pizza target up there and kills all ball momentum. Seems like the metal to the left of the pizza target is being worn down too. Seems like this shouldn’t happen.
Has anyone experienced this or know of a fix? Am I missing a piece there?

Looks like your pizza target is off to the right and not centered…maybe it’s letting the ball hit that corner of the metal guide. I would start by centering that stand up target.

Quoted from acons017:

thank for the tip man. It’s my first pin so haven’t done something like that before. Does it involve unscrewing it? How do you go about recentering the target?

They come from the factory pretty loose so all you need to do is push it to the side with your hand/finger. If you want to stop it from moving again you would want to look under the playfield and tighten it up(2 screws)and that usually takes care of it. And make sure to tighten the screws that sandwich the target/switch and not the screws that go into the playfield/wood that hold the bracket. You can use a small wrench or a 1/4” ratchet with a socket and I believe it might be 1/4” size screws.
