Joined the club with my Premium being delivered on Friday (my third pin behind SW Comic Premium and AIQ Premium). Couple questions: it's very hard for me to tell what's going on in the back-half of the playfield because of the backbox reflection and various lights going on. Will Pinstadiums help with this? Also, what can I do about the brutal left outlane?

So I'm pretty new to pinball and got a NIB TMNT Premium last month. Just recently my upper ball lock (Pizza Parlor ball lock) stopped firing. Did a coil test and you hear a noise but nothing really happens. If I pull the ball lock up manually it will drop during the coil test, but won't go back up. Any suggestions?

How do I take the balls out of the van when it's time to replace the pinballs?

Finally broke down after months and months of stagnation to setting at 5 balls. I've rectified this in my mind by acknowledging that not all playfields are built equally and that the three ball standard is for the quarter collectors. MUCH more fun now! I can actually, you know, PROGRESS!

Everyone do yourself a favor and turn that third flipper's power up to max 255. Now that third ramp is a breeze.

So my diverter zonked out and is not working. I've read on the forums about faulty diverters. What can I do to fix? How do I know what the problem is? I don't really understand the diagnostic menu for it, either.

Quoted from Dustwel:

Actually yes, I’ve had it happen several times. I usually play as Michelangelo which gives a slight lead given he starts with a few slices. What I have noticed though is there isn’t a great callout for when you can start the mode. The lights go dark, a certain music starts playing and the pizza light by the pizza target will start flashing, but there isn’t a callout or indicator otherwise.

I just had this happen to me yesterday for the first time ever. Have had the machine ~9 months and played probably 6-700 games so far.

Same. Had mine for a year and just started happening the last few days.

Super late to the party but I hope y’all saved some slices of pizza for me.
Got my machine a week ago.
I purchased mine new in box from Todd Tuckey at TNT amusements.
Love the game play! Love the art even more.
Zombie Yeti knocked it out of the park with this cab.
Got all 5 of my favorite green guys next to each other.[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

Where did you get the speaker ooze?

Quoted from JonCBrand:

Found the issue the up post is not centered in hole, causing it to bind and stay down intermittently.

Mine did the same thing. Just manually bent it back to center and all was good.

So my glider servo is dead. Looking back on the thread, someone suggested getting servo HS-645MG from ServoCity and have them reverse the direction from clockwise to counter-clockwise. I just called them and they said they no longer offer that service.

Anyone have a recommendation of any other servos that will work on the glider? I don't want to replace the whole $300 mechanism if I just have to swap out a $30 servo.

#9048 1 year ago
Quoted from PinHead50:

I am the one that started that thread, you can open it up and swap the wires. Its fairly simple if you have a cheap solder gun. Not sure if you can add a digital servo in there to replace an analog one.

How difficult is it to get the servo out? I ordered the HS-422 servo off Amazon and plan on swapping the positive and negative to reverse direction. Is there a way to get the servo out without removing any wireframes?

#9051 1 year ago
Quoted from plasticbugs:

You need to remove both wireframes to get the glider out - which is actually not too bad considering how hard it is to get at some posts to replace the rubbers. Let's not even talk how hard it is to get at the rubbers in the pops or to remove the van. Once those wireframes are removed, it's fairly simple.
Just go screw by screw and take pictures of each screw and element before you remove them. Place the screws/plastics/whatever in numbered bags. Start at one and use as many bags with numbers as you have pictures. I use a bunch of small zip loc bags and paper tape with permanent marker whenever I'm taking more than one thing off the playfield.

Thanks for the advice.

What about the plug for the servo itself? Any trick in unplugging it from the bottom of the playfield?

Quoted from Tommy_Pins:

My turtle power is usually on and then blinks when the next shot starts it. I figured this was normal.

Same. Turtle Power is always lit but blinks when it's ready.

Got a replacement servo for the diverter. Replacing would be SO much easier if I knew that this connector can actually be pulled out - is that possible? Or do you have to remove the whole servo itself (including the wiring)?

Servo blew on mine and am also having to do a swap.

Also, Reflex Mods mouser and pipe mods are must have. BEAUTIFUL.

No, doesn’t block it at all.

Any suggestions for settings that woild allow my kids progress farther (while still keeping the game at three balls)?

How is short plunging and having it roll down the right ramp not a skill shot?

#9929 1 year ago

Does holding the left flipper button down on the plunge do anything with TMNT?

#9948 1 year ago
Quoted from hiker2099:

It allows full plunge.

Is that for the Pro only?

#9953 1 year ago
Quoted from hiker2099:

It should be all models. Best way to get Donatello skill shot.

But the Premium goes all the way around without needing to hold in the flipper button (due to the ramp that feeds to the Turtle Van).
