Are there differences in lightning between the Pro and LE?

Pulling ramps, adding washers, oiling the pizza motor, drilling new holes....
Are you guys really serious?
Here are my 2 minute tips after unboxing:
- clean the playfield (1 min)
- replace the balls (30 sec)
- adjust the ball eject power to 176 (30 sec)
- play the machine (2-3 hours a day).
Got ours now for 12 days.
150 games and counting.
The day I even consider to drill into the playfield, is the day I will sell my machine.
Now I go back to play this fantastic game.
Quoted from cabal:Fun with pinball:
i got this flipper codes confirmed:
123
451
446
847
333
does anybody know the flipper code for marc silk?
What do you mean with flipper code?
Quoted from Rob_G:I get A LOT of airballs from the right dimension X target. Anyone see this on their game?
Rob
Same here. They fly all over the place.
Waiting for the perfect playfield, hahahaha.
Makes me think about the guys in High School who were waiting for the perfect girl.
Guess who has/had the most fun? Those who are waiting or those who are playing the "not perfect" one?
Now please talk about the game!
My Foot Clan spinner only registers the last few spins when hitting it.
Is this a common issue?
Any suggestions on fixing this?
Playfield protectors are the worst thing that happened to this hobby.
We bought a GB Pro with a protector installed.
I took it off after a few 100 plays.
The feeling is way better without one.
For home use, put a protector in the shooter lane and just play the machine.
Quoted from RetroGamerJP:I would have to respectfully disagree with that statement...
I think they are a smart investment if you prefer your games to stay like new and especially in the case of TMNT (you can definitely tell the clear coat on this one is thinner then previous games)... I know the people I have sold my games to appreciate the fact that if for any reason they decide to take the protector off, they have a brand new playfield waiting for them underneath.
The majority of the people cannot tell the difference between playing on a brand new, bare playfield and one with a protector on it (if there is even a difference)... but after thousands of games, it will still look and play like new.
So sure, they may not be for everyone but I don't think they deserve the title of worst thing that has happened to the hobby. No reason to try scare away those who want to preserve there machines. I for one am glad the option is out there.
Fair answer.
But I think keeping the playfield clean and waxed is all it takes when HUO.
I really don't care if my TMNT is worth 5K or 4.8K depending on having a 100 dollar protector on it or not.
The GB Pro was almost ready to be resold. We took the playfield protector of and now it's way more fun.
Back on topic:
Just played a 2 vs 2 game on our TMNT Pro, how much fun that is. The machine is really fantastic.
Quoted from Napoleon:+1
Also, Baxter shouldn't get zapped if you fail to defeat his robots and Shredder praises him. Seems very.....odd.
He needs to get zapped to become "Baxter the Fly" in the following episode....
Does the "Foot Clan spinner" have any purpose?
I only see it counting with some points (K's) on the screen...
Quoted from zeagle:Is anyone else getting their fair share of dimpling on their playfield? I'm a little shy of 100 games and I've noticed there are quite a few dimples in the playfield some bigger than others in quite a few places. Should I be very worried or is that somewhat normal in new pins?
Thanks!
Same here. Absolutely normal, enjoy your machine.
Quoted from BENETNATH:Same in the french forum, Avengers reveal just killed the hype.
Yeap, the playfield is fully packed with ramps and so, but music and gfx are ...just flat. no wow effect.
Whereas TMNT is fun, vibrant and party mode !! as Deadpool is too.
I fully agree.
Avengers is way too serious.
Quoted from PinMonk:Put the game in switch test mode, make sure the coin door is closed or the bypass pin pulled so the playfield has power then hit the playfield firmly with your open palm at various locations and see if it triggers switches (including the optos). Sounds like you have a vibration problem and that should help you narrow down the issue. It may be a frayed opto wire grounding from vibration or something.
I fixed it with thanks to you! Thanks man!
Quoted from LOTR_breath:What did you find wrong?
Bad connection on the opto switch.
I got the opto switch loose and bended the wires just a little bit.
Now it works fine.
Quoted from arcadenerd925:While I can't justify the cost increase much, having played both pro and premium, the reason I personally like the premium better:
- Turtle van lock (MB's are insane, love it)
- Launching the ball feeds the upper left flipper (how i get the majority of my krang combo's)
- Glider diverter (ability to switch which flipper gets fed from your ramp shots. I will swap so that I can feed the left ramp over and over also so I can hit the pizza parlor after lighting episodes)
- Pizza disc spinning both directions doesn't really add much for me
However, this is one of the first sterns where I felt I would have also been perfectly happy with a pro.
You can launch the ball to your left upper flipper better on the Pro then on the Premium. Just holding the left flipper in while launching the ball is enough to get the ball through the orbit and to the left upper flipper.
It's even easier then when it drops from the ramp on the Premium.
Quoted from acons017:Has anyone reached Cowabunga yet? Is there footage of someone playing through that mode? Seems impossible to reach.
It's even hard to get there with the glass off.
