Good to hear a few Pro's starting to ship. Patiently waiting. Sort of.

Hopefully get word in the not too distant future.

Quoted from delt31:

Should be officially joining the club on Weds! Love that pro translite.

Nice. With a little luck hope to be hearing something fairly soon too.

@ Swoods5688 - Powder coat looks good !

#1996 3 years ago
Quoted from Swoods5688:

I built a setup to do it myself, I have probably done 10 or more of my games now. The hardest part was an oven that would get hot enough and be large enough but not break the bank. I used some creative engineering and built one out of 2 electric smokers and some special furnace insulation and it works great.

Impressive.

Here is my Bottomer - think opposite of a Topper. Appropriate as Turtles are Sewer Dwellers.

Pictured underneath another one of my machines while it waits for TMNT arrival.

It will move under the Turtles after it arrives.

When on Free Play and pushing the start button once, my TMNT sometimes starts a 2-player game. Is this a common issue?

has happened to me too.

I noticed the left outlane seemed to be getting a number of drains. Especially on shots bounced off the April target. I checked audits. 64 left drains vs 19 right. 151 center. 234 balls played.

I added a black rubber drawer stop to the inside left rail as shown. Played a few more games, but I'll have to play a bunch more. It seems to have cut the left drains down from what I can see. ( I had also test bounced a ball into that lane several times by hand before I resumed play )

Looks like it helped. As the side rail is metal it is easy to put on or remove this new "lane bumper". The bumper could have edges trimmed to a circular shape if you're fussy. I hadn't cleaned the face of the bumper either before installing it. I'm sure it can be trimmed and cleaned to look almost factory... If you are annoyed with too many drains on the left outlane this might be worth a try.

Update : After adding the bumper it has evened out Left and Right drains.

The next 104 balls played - 16 left, 17 right, and 71 center drains.

Looks like this has worked.

Quoted from mbrave77:

Biggest frustration is the random bounces to the outlanes off posts and rubbers. Almost reminds me of the SW left outlane, just gets there in different ways. Theres no option on tmnt to move the post to make easier. I usually move to the middle setting on my games.

See my post #2390 - it really helped with the left outlane drains.

Update to post #2390 regarding bumper rubber added to reduce number of left outlane drains -

Update Results : After adding the bumper it has evened out Left and Right drains.

The next 104 balls played - 16 left, 17 right, and 71 center drains.

Looks like this has worked. Has cut down on ricochet type drains on the left side ....

(Previous tally before bumper 64 left, 19 right, 151 center at 234 balls played)

@ Rob G - there are no extra post holes on the left. So no adjustments. Wider gap at left lane.

mbrave77 - it's just a black rubber cabinet drawer bumper. Self adhesive. Backer pulls off. Check you local hardware store. The ones I got came on a sheet. Have had them forever I guess. Whats nice is you can just peel it off if and when you want as you just apply it to the metal side rail. They stick real well - just apply where you want and press.

Looks like it appears to be a bug. I disable start from the lock bar button on all my games. Others have also reported random two player games when starting with just one player.

I think balls becoming magnetized are probably causing most of the stuck ball issues. Check and replace as needed. Stay with better grade standard, regular type balls.

#4109 3 years ago

See Chuck's balls above.

Quoted from arcadenerd925:

Ugh, left side drain.. I have to read up in the thread, but what are people doing for that? some kind of oblong post? anything to help bounce back off the rail?

Check the keyposts in the thread - you have another option.

Quoted from BallyKISS1978:

Are pros still available for immediate shipping or are they still in production for next month?

I got one in the early run. Talking with one of the distros in regards to other games, they did mention Pro Turtles are supposed to be run again sometime in November at Stern. I think some people who ordered earlier are still waiting for their Pro's. AVIQ's on the line now and they need to run a batch of Pro's for those yet ( I have one of those on order ) and then I believe they will run more TMNT after that.

You could check around and maybe there might be a dealer that has one, otherwise it sounds like if the line doesn't experience interruptions you might be able to get a fresh NIB in the next month or so when they run a new batch of games.

Yeah I used to get failed eject during multi ball with magnetized balls. Take some out and check them.

Failed to ejaculate when balls were magnetized ... - whoa

Maybe start with checking that the power cord is fully seated to the back of the head first, and then other connectors etc.
