Hi guys. Just joined the club with a Premium. Really like the game so far.

But on my third game, i got s ball hang-up. Have anybody else experienced this? Seems like something that would happen often, as the top of the screw keeps the ball from rolling back on the playfield.

Only way to get the ball out was to remove the glas.

Just happened again. The machine had convolux and playfield protector fitted from the destibutor before delivery. Could they have missed something that needs to sit there to prevent it?

Anyone have some pictures of the same spot on their machine?

Quoted from Phbooms:

your missing the clear plastic piece. ill try get a picture for you quick

I definitely don't have that! Looks like it would solve the problem, but it seems to be a PRO thing only? And i also don't see where it would attach on my plastic, as there are no holes for it?

Quoted from Thomas3184:

Pretty sure that screw should be a countersunk head screw to prevent that though. Wrong screw replaced with plastic protectors installed?

I think you are correct. I actually located a countersunk screw in the coinbox, so perhaps the installer swapped it.

Quoted from PinHead50:

It’s the correct screws on a premium. That’s an odd place for the ball to land

Quoted from Thomas3184:

Promo pics of premium has a different screw there.

Yeah, the promo pics definitely has a countersunk screw in that place. But it seems not all production models does...

Quoted from Rob_G:

Are you seeing a lot of airballs when hitting the targets?

Yup, pretty sure that is where most of the problem originates from. And perhaps the PF protector adds a little more bounce. The game is blistering fast!

Quoted from DaddyManD:

Never had this happen. Is the game totally level?

Indeed it is.

Quoted from Vermont:

Strangely enough, we had this happen for the first time tonight, in one of the first games are reading your post. It does seem like there could have been something done to easily prevent this from happening.

Agreed. Unless there was a piece of clear plastic as shown on the PRO model.

I changed the screw to a countersunk one, and at least now when it hangs up, i am able to shake it loose without removing the glass. But it's almost impossible to do without tilting. I am thinking a fix like the one Vireland mentions will be the only way to prevent it. I Bet that's not going to happen for the european customers...

Quoted from Rob_G:

The pizza disc probably needs to be levelled if you add a p/f protector. That's why you are getting airballs.

Perhaps you are right? I will definitely look into it.

However, i think i discovered something else about the hangup above the left flasher. I am thinking that perhaps the installer switched 2 hex standoffs. There was a shorter one on the outer left side, that seemed kind of "off", as it didnt really touch the plastic at all. So i moved the short spacer to the right side of the plastic. That means the plastic is now skewed / bent a little down and out towards the playfield, meaning that the ball can no longer hang behind the flasher.

It doesn't look too pretty, with the plastic and the conolux protector bent like that, so i am wondering if that is really how it is supposed to be?

Can anyone confirm if their premium / LE is bent the same way?

Am i the only one who has a problem with the extreme amount of GI flashing Stern is beginning to use in their games? I admit that at 45, my eyes aren’t as good as they used to be. But playing a game like Ghostbusters in a dimly lit room is simply impossible for me. I just cannot look at all of the rapid flashing during multi balls etc. and TMNT has a lot of the same rapid blinking. My Deadpool does not seem to be nearly as bad.

I really think that it’s a shame, as it keeps me from enjoying the game in the setting I prefer the most: a dimly lit and cozy room.

Perhaps they could add an “evening” or “epilepsy” setting, that reduces the amount of rapid flashes. Perhaps by making it possible to set the lowest value of the GI when flashing. So if you set it to like 60% it would flash between 100 and 60%. That way it would be more of a pulsing effect rather than a flashing effect.

And yes, I am aware that I can adjust the lights in the settings, but doing that just dims the overall playfield lights, and makes the game look dull.

Anyway, love my TMNT Premium, but really hate how the ball keeps flying off the ramps all of the time. I adjusted the flipper power down, but unfortunately still keeps happening. Hoping Stern will issue a fix for this

New code is awesome. Thanks!
