As Bundy mentioned, pinball is a hobby fit for tinkerers. The more you learn, even if its from fixing your NIB machine, the better off you'll be in the long run and the more you'll enjoy your machines, imo at least. I actually had to teach myself to solder, not well albeit, to fix a switch. You have this site which has a lot of great people willing to help you navigate issues. Hang in there.
For $9000 NIB, you should NOT have to tinker for a while.
Soon it'll be $10K+ to tinker.
