Quoted from RikeIsland:Lol no I am still all in for my Premium. I just want some of the hardware issues to be solved before they hit the line. Wishful Thinking I know.
Let’s just hope Stern is keeping an eye on this thread and takes some notes.
Right there with ya buddy.
New premium owner here, so far a couple standing issues:
1) When loading balls into the van, sometimes the door partially opens. When this happens it seems like the game loses track of the numbers of balls in there and occasionally it can't even open the door when turtle power multiball starts
2) My glider "twitches" as in it is constantly moving, I ran the adjustment to center it after it trapped a ball unexpectedly mid-game and that seems to have allowed me to play it, but I feel like it shouldn't be wiggling.
Playfield comments:
It looks like I have a later print, I do not have art under my posts. There are a few spots where I can definitely see lines like a cheap inkjet with a clogged nozzle. Overall I would say that the artwork looks "fuzzy" compared to my JP Pro
Quoted from T-800:Got my premium yesterday. Playfield is great, no pooling or print issues. Pizza spinning disc was making the awful grinding noise as many of you have reported as well. Added a couple drops of 3-in-1 oil as recommended by STERN and it made a huge improvement immediately. Disc still makes some noise but it's at least tolerable now - on par with my TRON anyway. Adding the oil took about 5 minutes - I removed the four little screws to the assembly and dropped the whole thing down. I didn't want any oil dripping on any of the node boards so I wanted to makes sure it was applied properly and could coat the surfaces without dripping onto something it shouldn't... Easy fix, but it would have been nice if this was done before shipping.
Is there a key post in the index here on how to do this?
Here is my playfield, taken with a Sony A6400 with a 35mm/f1.8 lens, the fuzzyness I can live with as when I am standing and playing the game I don't really notice. However, the lines I can see, and I'm sure over time I'll get over it but I would call it a drop in quality compared to my JP Pro.

Right to left fine, left to right is rough. I will withold real judgement till Titans are installed
Quoted from robnotto:Glider calibration.
i have a couple questions about the glider.
1. It seems to twitch back and forth.
2. The ball get stuck quite often.
3. What is the proper calibration procedure? Here is what I am doing. I select Cali a ration from the service menu, when asked to center the glider I center it and press menu to set. Is that the proper procedure?
Fun game , very fast. I have a premium and the playfield is awesome no issues what so ever.
Mine twitches as well, and that was exactly the procedure i used. it still twitches, but it no longer twitches into the path of the ball once i calibrated it.
Is anyone actually getting any kind of resolution to the ink/printing issue either direct or via distributors?
Quoted from shaub:I made some Apron Cards for TMNT. I wrote out the rules I thought were important to note instead of just copying the stock rule card. So hopefully all of the rules are correct and there aren't any typos. But if you notice something is off, let me know. I could also upload the individual cards instead of an 8.5 x 11 combined version, if that's what people would prefer.

These are awesome, any chance you can export the individual cards?
Premium/LE owners: Has anyone else had an issue with the ball not dropping smoothly off the plastic guide above the upper flipper? I'd say I can't even attempt 50% of the middle ramp shots because of this. I'll try and take some slow motion video. Contrastingly, if I drill the ball through the right orbit and it comes around at the playfield level I can hit the middle ramp almost every time, but off the plunge no bueno.
Quoted from PinMonk:Spend $30 on a better servo and get to playing. Why wait for Stern when the solution's already out there?
Got a link? I didn't see one in any of the indexed posts.
Quoted from Soulstoner:I find that putting rubber cabinet bumpers behind the translite helps to minimize the rattle that comes from there during the shaker. Also, if the coin door is rattling during shaker movement, I'll add bumpers between the door and the bracket as well.
Other than that, it is still extremely loud on my machine during pizza multi-ball too. Comically so.
I never thought to use those there, brilliant!
Quoted from blairan213:Servo Replacement. I know this has been covered, but figured I would share my experience... This is a bulletproof glider servo setup without having to reverse polarity or request counter-clockwise setup from limited vendors (you can substitute the servo for the cheaper ones if desired)… VERY IMPORTANT, there is in-fact a hard stop on the glider and you absolutely have to set the center correctly (probably not default 188 setting) so that far left and far right DO NOT hit that stop. You will notice that the parameters actually change during test if you go from x to y quickly back and forth, so make sure you really let it have it. Mine hit going left at stock when going from L to far L very quickly and repeatedly, and the servo would just continue to whine trying to break past the barrier to the set point. Your servo SHOULD NOT continue to make any noise after it hits max left or right position and the black stop under glider should never actually touch the outside edges. You want the software to limit, not the physical points, that will break your servo.

Thanks for the research, I've put it on an Amazon wishlist called "Fix Stern's TMNT design flaw"
