Quoted from BENETNATH:

Is it us or this game is damn nasty?
Outlanes are still on higher but stdm and Outlanes are really hungry!!

I find this game incredibly challenging. If I play this for a while then go to any of my other pins I feel like a god. Those freaking ramps are so hard to hit for some reason.

My friend sent me this pic of his Turtles LE playfield. The left pic (or first pic) is his and the right one is a friend of his.

How the hell can a Stern line worker stare at that for hours while building the play field and not raise a flag?? You’d have to be a pretty sad individual to put that much work into something and not have the pride in your job to fail it for quality.

That is the real question here.

Quoted from BENETNATH:

It’s not just you!

The right slingshot is precision-engineered to put the ball down the left outlane (which is big enough to fit a banana in, no joke).

Shorting either ramp from the opposite side flipper sends the ball SDTM.

This is largely true for most pinballs: don’t miss your shots and it’s not that bad. My aim is terrible, but I find that the main key to avoiding the left outlane is to make my shot the first time and don’t give the slingshots a chance.

#1407 3 years ago

I've raised the pitch and the power of the slingshot. That's a bit better as I have a bit of space to save the ball with nudging
But man, that's not easy to keep the ball!

Doesn't seem especially abusive to me.

Pretty sure this is just a difference in picture taking. The 2nd pic is much brighter, you can tell by comparing the way the inserts look on the 2 pictures.

Potential bug:
Finished last mode with a shot to the van to light Final Battle.
Ball didn't release and ball search never kicked in.

Fortunately I was able to pull the glass and get the ball in the shooter lane and was able to continue.

#1411 3 years ago

Can’t seem to update code . Used 3 different formatted sticks. It’s seems I can’t unzip the file? It needs to be unzipped, what program do people use for this ?? Please !!

#1412 3 years ago

Added the "Cheapskate" toy to middle diverter.
Bounces a bit for good effect and doesn't hit glass.

My theme with TMNT will be just vehicles, blimp glider is next!

May due tutorial for this if it holds up.
It was mega easy to install.

winrar on windows. You cannot use the built-in windows unzip, it messes up the files for some reason. You need to unzip on the hard disk NOT the USB. Unzip the files, then copy them to the root of the USB.

You are wrong. I just spoke with the guy. He is telling me it’s not really that it’s lighter looking but the print quality is a lot different than his friend. Not making this shit up.

A picture that isn't super zoomed in may give a better idea of the issue. In these it just looks like noise that you can get in digital photos when they are zoomed too much, or edited. Not saying that is what is going on, but a regular resolution photo would help. Either way the only thing to do in this case is send the pics to his distributor.

Ok. I am nearly 60 and can see how grainy the photos are. If there is an issue get your friend to talk to their distro. I am sure there will be a good outcome there.

Bottom one looks like the first leaked photos we got. Colours really washed out. Not uncommon for Playfields to have different colours during the product cycle though it does look a little grainy. Could be different Playfield sources?

Small warning (no problem!)

Ok it was late and I immediately paniced, but I'll just tell so you know it's nothing.
After unboxing, updated to code 1.1 immediately. I checked everything and before starting to play, I opened my door to put the settings, then suddenly several tech allerts appeared.
Node board 1 no communication, then node board 8, then node board 9...
Immediately took the glass out, checked all connections again, restored factory settings, I went completely nuts...
1 hour later, after I calmed down, I noticed there's the small button again next to the coin door that disables the 48v (they left it out on older spikes).
Pulled out the button and all errors immediately gone.
Just sharing coz when you're excited and unboxing, the easiest solution is not always what you think of first
Actually it would be better if it was in the code that these errors not appear when the buttons disables the 48v
When you're in the setup screen and you close and open the coin door again, these errors come and make you stressssss

#1432 3 years ago

New code 1.10 is supposed to do just that right?

HELP! My lights are switched... Is this a software bug? Or did they switch my wires???
The bebop and left outline lights are switched with the michaelangelo pizza parlor lights... running code 1.1. It’s very annoying in gameplay.
It’s in the game and also in the single led test you can see it’s wrong.

Can someone else test on their tmnt with software 1.1 please, before I do anything? Just to make sure it's not a software bug. Thx!

EDIT: found the solution, seems my boards got swapped in the production

connections (resized).jpgconnections (resized).jpg

#1434 3 years ago

Call / email stern. It's likely something to do with connectors. In the meantime reseat every connector involved and check the wires to make sure 2 connectors didnt get switched or anything. Reference the manual.

has disabled node board power.

You can look in the manual. Each board, pin and wire are listed for the insert lights. See if they match your game. Page 18.

It looks like those boards have different pinouts. Seems like the boards you circled got swapped.

#1438 3 years ago

Thx plasticbugs & Lermods. Seems like my boards got indeed swapped in production. Lights didn't respond with the number of the boards according to the manual, so I put them on the right place. Cables couldn't be swapped, coz they got different connections. Everything works as it should now. Cowabunga! We can play now

Hmm. What's the build date on the back of your machine? I wonder if it was made around the same time as @rapiddraw's and the other person I can't remember a page back...

My build date is June 22nd, 2020.

Yep, it doesn't say the error at boot, but still when you open coin door without pulling out the coin door button

It's funny how the picture shows it to be slightly washed out. In person it's rich in color. I think a lot of it has to do with the lighting and the type of camera/phone that you're using.

Tiki_Tilt streaming the pro on twitch.tv starts in 15 minutes. Stop in and talk pinball and IPAs.

Edit: Got to the wizard mode on the last game! Co-OP pinball is amazing.

Anyone else having an issue where the game is locking too many balls into the van? Mine has done it a few times and the diverter can’t close cause it has too many balls in the diverter

Haven’t seen that one .. I assume there are optos in the van to know how many are loaded ?

#1445 3 years ago

LE #227 checking in. Finally unboxed and all I can say is I’m very happy with this one. Super fun been playing all day. Playfield is nice and bright. The only issue upon opening it was the coin box was all the way at the back of the machine , must of had a hard jolt during shipping but no damage at all. Another AWSOME pin from stern.

While waiting for our Pro to arrive I ransacked my parents’ house and my basement for my childhood figures. Was able to find half in a bag but couldn’t find the collector case with the rest. You know I’m going to try to find a home under the glass for Slash, Casey, Metalhead, and Shredder. Also, not pictured is a mouser.
