Anyone ever experience Turtle Power Multiball starting with Donatello as a plunger ball makes it way around?
It isn’t something I’ve dealt with a lot, but did occur a few times and I haven’t noticed a direct cause yet.

Your top switch on the ramp needs to have more play, that would mean its triggering.

Thanks. I’m still fairly green with my pin owning. Any advice on how to increase play would be appreciated.

I’d try to put it in switch mode and start pounding balls and see if you can replicate it triggering that switch. If so maybe try to take a slow mo of the switch to see why it’s going off.

Where did you get that channel 6 news building?

I asked my printer nicely to make me one and it did.

Uhhhhhh wait what……. Lol so my game is now begging for one of those!!! Say I wanted one how would said TMNT owner get his hands on one??????
The factory flasher that was in the red cap has two possible locations. One is in the building so when you hit the spinner the building flashes a bit thru the windows.
The other option is a housing that is mounted on the plastic angled to the face of the building. This layout is a cool effect.
LOL tease us with all the pictures, it’s even better than we thought. Sooo drop home we can get one!

He was pretty busy with his amazing firehouse mod for Ghostbusters - I hope he'll be busy here, too.
So I knew I'd mess up my new machine with a mod, just didn't think it would be this soon. I installed some pinstadiums in my machine and upon turning on the machine, I saw a spark from come from this general area of the power supply board and now smell burning. I turned the game off and unplugged the pinstadiums from the service outlet and now the game won't boot up. Any ideas on what I can do?
Take a look at the underside of the playfield and see if where you connected the gator clips to shorted to anything else. That might be a starting point.
Nothing pin stadium connects to that board directly so it had to originate form something else that might be shorted.

I still need to figure out what i want to do behind the tower. There is now an open area exposing the spinner switch and its a possible area to get a ball suck. Im thinking of possibly doing another taller building behind it to give it a bit more of a city feeling.
Quoted from wolffcub:You can see the smoke mark on the board to the left of CN5
Yeah I noticed that right after taking the picture. I assume something shorted on the PF. Been talking with Scott over at Pinstadium (EXCELLENT customer service by the way), and he says that it doesn't seem to be the pinstadiums causing it. I can't honestly say what fried the power distribution board, and now I'm a little nervous of getting a new board and possibly burning it out again.
Unplug the connectors on the power board and see if something is noticeable where it burnt. ie a certain pin or group. It might help you narrow down where it possibly can be shorted or the issue is coming from.

So upon further inspection, it looks like R5 looks to be burnt to all hell and none of the C5 or C4 connectors seems to be an issue. Any idea where that leads to?
So I unplugged the shaker motor and the game boots up now, but it complains about Node Board 189 not being found. Any idea what could be the problem now?
Quoted from wolffcub:it completely un soldered itself. The part is sitting between the cn7 connector and the cap.
Good eye!! I had the shaker installed before, but I had taken it out to adjust it at the same time I installed the pinstadium. I bought a replacement power distribution board, so hopefully that should get me up and running and I suspect the culprit is more of the shaker than anything else at this point.
So just an update. I plugged CN5 and CN4 back (I was so flustered that I didn't plug them back in upon trying to see if the game still works...I'm an idiot). Game boots and plays, but the shaker motor is definitely the culprit. Pinstadiums even work now. Not sure how the shaker motor blew that resistor, but that seems to be the problem.
Sometimes on shaker motors the arm that rotates around touches the wire contacts. Mine did that when I adjusted the weight to close to the motor. Bam.

This is way awesome. Like to see more at Stern, this goes a long way.

Did it blow something on your power distributor board? That's what ended up happening to me.
Edit:
I just took a look at the shaker motor. I'm almost sure that is what busted my board now. Thank you for putting mind at ease. Now I know what caused the issue.
Out of curiosity, when you fixed the shaker motor, did you try using it before repairing the board?
Hello friends, I have a purchase planned for the month of December but I have doubts between tmnt and gotg... I have had gotg in the past and we enjoyed it a lot at home, now I have the opportunity to buy a new one of the latest production. I have doubts between these two machines, turtles I have never played it nor do I have the possibility of trying it but from the videos I have seen it seems very fun. I would like to have a comparison of the two machines on playability, durability, fun...etc... greetings and thanks!!!! It should also be said that at home I only have one machine that is AIQ premium now... it is a hard machine and difficult to advance... at least for me...

Guardians is easier than tmnt u can advance quicker and is a blast to play. TMNT is beautiful n fast but can be tough. It keeps me coming back even though it keeps kicking my butt sometimes u just have to use good ball control but either one is great u can’t go wrong in my opinion I have both n love them.

Been thinking how to respond.
In short we own a Turtles and it gets the most play (we also have Godzilla and Mando). Awesome game that keeps everyone coming back. I’m creating a longer response but for us the family likes TMNT over GOTG.

I probably would never buy a game prior to playing it first. I currently own GOTG and in the process in getting a tmnt pro (played it a bunch on location) and both games are harder than AIQ in my opinion. If you get a chance to play TMNT on location first I'd definitely try that before making an expensive purchase. They are both Borg games so they have a similar feel/play ability, but TMNT is a 3 flipper game. Both games are fun, but I love the theme and shots in both games. Guardians code is relativity straight forwards and the cleland code is a must. TMNT code seems more complex kinda like AIQ. Again, if you think AIQ is hard maybe look at a different title if you want a game easier to progress in.
Thank you all for the answers. when i played at home gotg seemed much easier than AIQ in general...wider and easier shots...easier code and longer ball durations. In AIQ I lose the ball much more...the shots without are very tight and in the outlines the ball is lost much more easily than in gotg...or at least that's the feeling I get...
My coil (post) that stops the ball during Turtle Power Multi ball seems to be slow to catch the ball. I took it apart and replaced the coil sleeve and it was a little better but not fast enough. Seems to trigger fine from the test but it does not test speed. Any chance the coil needs to be repaired?? Do coils get slow after 2200 plays? Thanks in advance.

Tmnt over gotg.
Gotg was too easy for me and I completed the game twice within a few months of owning it. The annoying thing for me is that immolation initiative is worth SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much more than save xander! That really annoyed me! I think out of my 8b game 5b came from immolation! Tmnt has some other scoring problems too but I prefer the modes in tmnt as they’re really diverse. And final battle is awesome!!

I'm curious if you asked this question in the Gotg club too. ...I'll head over there to see out of curiosity. I'd guess most would say gotg there.
My friend has a gotg and I'm a fan of it. Fun game. Can be frustrating if your can't find the ramps though (sounds familiar?). I think the ramps are a bit tighter than tmnt, but the orbits (at least the right ) is easier. 6 of one..., imo. Both great games. The multipliers are fun to try and get as high as you can. It got some depth when they added it to the code and definitely made it feel like an updated (but not necessarily better) Metallica.
I don't think I'd trade my tmnt for my friends gotg if he proposed it and likely vice versa. I think if you had a gotg already and aren't already convinced to get it again, I'd probably lean towards another title.
Edit:
I checked the gotg club, I didn't see anything posted there. I guess since you already had one you might know their opinion.
