Gradually chipping away at my pins that I've neglected over the years. Anyone happen to have a GI count for Tee'd Off who did a swap? I think I got them all but I always worry I missed a buried burnt out bulb (I'm not stripping the playfields for these jobs).

Also what's the trick for getting the golf balls off? I read that I'll need new plastics for them to put LEDs inside but I think step 1 is get the darn things apart.

The golf balls on my Tee'd Off looked horrible. I can't believe that they were built this bad from the factory. Before I knew Steve at Pinball Resource still had the tees, I decided to just by a bag of practice balls from Walmart. I drilled a hole just slightly larger than the diameter of the LED bulb I used and just let them rest on the top of the Rounds board like they are sitting on grass instead of being teed up. In order to make them a little more stable, I got plastic grommets from the local hardware store that were slightly larger in diameter than the bulb base, but about the same size as the hole in the top of the Rounds board and inserted them in the hole in the ball. Now they sit perfectly and look much cleaner in my opinion. I think I have a light sheet with how many bulbs I used to replace the GI.

I really want to get this clean look how you don't see anything below the balls and they just sit like that. Do you guys have any photos of what you cut off the new balls or the pieces you used to get them to sit like that?

Also what's the trick to getting them out? I tried to turn and they just spin spin spin. And look crappy to boot. All old glue and what-not.

Also - Tee'd Off has a ColorDMD? Huh!

Here are some pictures I took today. The LED map is not very good. pasted_image (resized).pngpasted_image (resized).pngThe little piece of tap on the ball is to keep it from spinning. pasted_image (resized).pngpasted_image (resized).pngpasted_image (resized).pngpasted_image (resized).pngAs for the color DMD, it is PIN2DMD and the colorization was done by me. Might be the only color dmd Tee'd Off in the world for all I know.
Hope this helps.
