I did a playfield swap of my WW, got everything hooked back up and when I turn it on, the discs spin and the fan spins for a split second, and I get a single tone; then all I get is GI-no lamp matrix, no display, no response from the diagnostic coin door switches or the start button.

The main board shows the 1st and 3rd LED's as solid on, and the middle LED blinks-I did not count the blinks, but it's more than 5-seems continuous.

A couple things I did while restoring it:

- I had Clive at Coin-op Cauldron go through the main board and also put in a remote battery holder.
- Put in a new Pinscore power supply board (The other one worked but was hacked) currently all the LED's are solid on that board.
- Put in new diagnostic buttons as the old one intermittently worked.

I am absolutely a newbie when it comes to testing board stuff.

My first thought was to put the old power supply board in and see if that changes anything.

Thoughts? Any help would be most appreciated.

Thanks. I'll double check and re-seat everything tonight.

I reseated all the connectors and everything fired up except the display is garbled. I ordered a new ribbon cable...hopefully that takes care of it.

Thanks Director.

Ok, got the game running except a few adjustments (I think), but I can't seem to get the display fixed. I reseated the connectors and replaced the ribbon cable(made sure it was plugged in properly), plus I'm using a new power supply board, but I get this:

SO, I'm kind of at a loss what to do next . . .

Well, I ordered a new Xpin display that should come this week(not as a fix but I like the low voltage aspect of it), so I could try that and see if things change. I don't have anyone that I know with a system 11 b or c game. I'll post again with the results of swapping out displays . . .

Quoted from PinballManiac40:

Sure you plugged in the ribbon cable from pin 1 on the MPU to pin 1 of the display board?
Swap one end of ribbon cable 180 degrees and see what happens.

Tried that out and bingo! It works like a charm. I thought I put them in correctly, but apparently not.

Thanks everyone for the input.
