On our ACDC the machine has started to act strange in the lower playfield. Occasionally, it will launch the ball but not recognize when it has drained. The sounds and lights continue for it. But before it counts down to 0, the main playfield goes into ball search mode, and the main ball falls out of the cannon.
At other times and in the same game, the hell playfield functions correctly.
