Other than a bad solder on the CPU backbox, did anyone find the problem? I have an IJ and am having the exact same problem. I was thinking thinking that the plastic at the idol enter opto was getting cloudy or dirty and prematurely triggering the opto. Haven't cleaned it yet but just a thought. Any new news fellas?
I noticed that the optos for the idol and idol enter have to project through the plastic. I just cleaned the plastic surfaces but noticed that there are some scratches from years of use. I wonder if just random vibes during ge play is enough for a dirty surface or scratch in the plastic to be enough to trigger the opto. I'll keep tinkering and if I find something definate I will let you know. Please do the same!
