+1. If the trace has snapped near the edge of the glass you can try to use something like a Dremel tool and grind the glass away to expose the trace and try to get some solder on it but it is a PITA to do.

Don't throw it out, as mentioned you can use it as a test display or list it on eBay. Even with defects, there is a good chance someone will grab it who has a dead display and won't care about 1 line missing.
