Playing my T2 tonight and was in the middle of a long game. Left flipper stuck on so I powered down. Started up again and it was down until I hit the start button. It went up Immediately. Shut down again and smelled burning. Looks like the cap on the flipper button leaf switch burnt up.

Question: is this because it’s 30yrs old cap or do I have another problem to look at after I replace? Just wondering why after a few years of playing normally why it would burn up. Checked the fuse in the power driver board for left flipper and it was good.

I was just looking at the manual and didn’t see a transistor associated with the left flipper. I ordered the cap for next week. So I’ll cut it off and power it up to see if everything is a go.

Replaced and all is good. Everything A1. Cap just 30+years old…..
