So the other week I did something really, really stupid.
My Space Shuttle was having intermittent display issues, so in while checking the problem I pull the power connector for the displays from the power supply board (Rottendog). Instead of pulling the connector away from the board I rest it on top of the male connector pins on the board (I know, really stupid), I then power the machine on (I know, really, really stupid!) and hear a pop because the wires on the connector touch the board pins. Now the game does not boot and is showing an 7 error code on the MPU.
So my question is did I completely blow out my displays and MPU to the point that I'll have to send it out to a pro like Aardvark for repairs or could it be a simpler fix? The display power connector has +100v and +5v, did I send 100v though the master display and down through the MPU?
I was beside myself after doing something so dumb that I knew better then to do. Any help in pointing me in the right direction would be much appreciated. Thanks!
