Hi, I've been asked for help by someone who has a Space Invaders. Apparently it boots and plays ok, lights and sounds all work. But all 4 displays are flashing 88. I've never encountered anything like this, and my google-fu is not finding an answer. Anyone got an idea what the trouble might be?

Try swapping U10 and 11 on the MPU. Also check the bookeeping. If the numbers are scrambled could be a bad 5101 or 6810 chip.
Also whats the deal with the battery on the MPU?
It's supposed to be restored, but I haven't seen it in person yet.
