My DESW has picked up a glitch...I power up, it does a ball search. DMD goes blank for a while. Eventually it will come up and you get the push start message. Upon hitting start it gives a "0 Balls Missing" and never pops a ball into the shooter lane. I figure it has to be an issue with the out hole switch, but it tests fine in diagnostics?

Any assistance would be appreciated!

Actually, turns out it was a short on the (non-existent) knocker on my machine! Very weird!

We figured out what was happening is the out hole coil wasn't firing, then noticed other coils also weren't. If the out hole coil doesn't fire, the balls don't wind up in proper locations in the trough.

Found one of the fuses was blowing. Tracked those down literally wire by wire to the Popcorn board. Just kept eliminating wires and seeing if fuse would blow. It just kept blowing. The absolute last one we checked was the knocker. Took that out of the equation, boom, fuse didn't blow, life was grand. I mean, we blew like 10 fuses figuring it out, but you can't make an omelette without breaking a few eggs.

What's funny is there has never been a knocker on that machine since I got it. So had to be a short in the wiring.
