I have a Roadshow that I'm working on and I have an odd issue where there is about a 20-30 delay between powering the game on and the MPU booting up. When I got the game, it had no five volts so I reflowed all the header pins on the driver board and replaced BR2, C4 and C5 which cleared up the 5V issue.
Now, when I power the game on, it takes 20-30 seconds for the game to actually boot up the MPU. I replaced the thermistor because the old one actually broke in two pieces when I touched it. I thought I may have a problem with the new thermistor so I soldered in a jumper wire across it and it didn't make a difference.
On the MPU, the lower and upper LEDs stay on with the middle LED staying off. once it boots, the upper LED goes off, middle LED blinks as usual and the lower LED stays on. I measured voltage at the MPU and driver board on the 5V line. During the initial boot up, the +5V line will measure around +4.65 V and when the game boots up, the voltage jumps up to around 4.8V.
Any ideas? Once the game boots up, I don't seem to have any problems (no reset issues).
