On my Metallica I have the Cliffy protector around the hammer magnet. I think it's causing air balls so I want to remove it. What is the best way to get this thing off without damaging the playfield?

Ive got the same issue. I have a cliffy magnet protector on the sparky magnet and its become warped causing air balls. How did removal go for you? How did you end up removing it?
Quoted from Kawydud:I make them out of vinyl, can be any color.
Wanna sell me a couple?

The larger ones for the hammer magnet are 8 for $12.00. The standard size magnet, like the one for sparky, are 10 for $12.00. I can do them in pretty much any standard color. They also work great in all of the other Stern games. I have them installed on Iron Man and Star Trek as well.

I used a blow dryer and a razor blade. Very carefully. Worked like a champ. Thanks to luch for the advice.
Those silver vinyl protectors look really good. I'll have to pick some of those up.
