Hello,
I was checking out a Williams Space Station for an associate, and I am in need of a reference photo or something.
I will likely have to replace the coil, but have no idea what coil is on it and if it should have one or two diodes. So I would love if someone could take a picture of the left coil on theirs for me.
When I got to his house, the flipper was sticking up when a game was started. I raised the playfield and immediately saw two issues. There was a diode on the coil, but one leg was broken off. I tested the diode, it was good, to I fixed it back. There was also a wire, barely hanging onto the middle post of the coil, so I fixed that as well.
The coil still stuck up, so I clipped the Capacitor off the flipper button and that stopped it.
The old cap, I was unable to read the value, so I went to radio shack and picked up the only 500v button cap they had in stock.
After replacing that, the coil is VERY weak. So weak it cannot toss the ball.
So I figure I either have the wrong button cap, or the coil is damaged. I have as of yet been able to determine what cap it should have and when I look up the coil the replacement one SEEMS to have two Diodes on it???
So if someone could assist with the proper Cap value and either a reference photo of their coil, or the proper coil part number and number of diodes, I would greatly appreciate it.
