I have a MARS DBV that I want too update to accept new currency! I could swear I dealt with someone before that was able to update my existing ones. Anyone know how to do this or know someone that does?

The model I have is:
MARS VMF4-R1 (would like to update it to accept new currency and replace worn belts)

I also have a NRI - Buckpasser Validator that accepts dollar bills only. Problem is ... it doesn't seem to want to accept them. I replaced the old belts to no avail. Any input is appreciated!

Mars hasn't done a bill upgrade for the VFM series in at least 15 years but Pyramid at one time made a replacement board for it but I don't think they even do that anymore. That said Betson has a Pittsburgh office that could probably do the belt replacement for you.

It looks like Capital vending has the PTI boards in stock: https://www.capitalvending.com/1166.html but for that price just buy an AE2600 used.

Yes, at one time Pyramid Bill Acceptors made a replacement circuit board for the Mars VFM series which allowed acceptance of the latest currency. Here is an archive of that webpage from 2016:

You might contact them to see if they still have some of those boards. A friend had a couple of those in his VFM series and they worked great and were very reliable.
