Emailed this message to Great Lakes Modular 6 days ago but did not receive a response yet:

I recently purchased and installed the flipper board replacement for my judge dredd which I have on route. A couple problems: 1 I had to move the start button sideways to get it to fit, and it is still a tight fit. Secondly and most important, if I have the magnet attached vertically, it sticks to the plunger on the kickback, and one of the flippers won't flip. If I lift the playfield up it works fine. I had it oriented sideways initially, and did tape it down, but I came back a week later and the magnet had moved to a point where it wouldn't flip at all. Am I missing something?

Any ideas?

Flip the maget over had the same problem with mine. Also tape it down sideways works best for me.

Flipping the magnet did not solve this problem.

Did you get a standard board or the flipped one for dredd? Got mine from k's arcade and they have to flip it to make it for in dredd only pin I know of that uses it, could be wrong maybe it's for the wrong side and forward further in the cab and that's might be why you had to move start button. Just a thought.

Mine was interfering with left shooter lane being weak and misfiring once and awile. Was told to flip to flip magnet because polarity was messing with coil.

Yes, it is the one specific to JD. I ordered it from Marco.

Can you describe how you taped the magnet. I did this also, with gorilla tape. I put pieces all around the magnet, as well as a big piece over the top of it, but it still ended up moving. I like the flexibility this board offers but dealing with this magnet has been frustrating.

I just ordered this board... $50 after shipping from Marco.. OUCH! I read you need to position the magnets so they clear everything. Then, don't tape the magnets but glue them. Caulking adhesive for example. I will have the new board soon, "I understand this thread is 10 months old" However I also understand people are buying JD's frequently since the game rocks. Having a weak, slow, lagging left flipper will ruin the game for anyone. Makes the right ramp and ball captures impossible to hit. The old Switches fire intermediately and you never get a solid clean flip like the right flipper 2 Opto boards fire.
