I have a few Williams games with one or two upper flippers, giving me 3 or 4 total.
Grand Lizard, Whirlwind, Sorcerer, Black Knight.

I'm wondering if there is a global rule to all pinball games as to how flipper buttons should be adjusted: (A,B,C,D)

A. Should the upper flippers always power on when the lower ones do when the buttons are half-depressed?
B. Should the upper ones only power on when a flipper button is fully depressed, and the lower flippers only at half-button pressed in?
C. Neither... It's a per-game requirement
D. Other...

thanks!

maybe adjust the stack switch so the contact points for the upper flippers are spaced out in a way the activate only when you press the flipper button firmly. Just a thought.

Who the h*ll cares as long as they work when needed? In the heat of the game all of us just keep slapping and squeezing those suckers in as far as they ever get. I have sore fingers in the end of a good game

B. Upper powers a bit later than lower, so their load is a bit distributed and more important, so a good player can hold during multiball balls on the lower flippers and still operate an upper flipper.

I played a WH20 last week, which I'm told has opto sensors for the flippers. Lower rt flipper engages BEFORE the upper rt flipper, allowing the player to "hold" a ball on the lower while continuing to play with the upper.
