Running into an issues on my Cleopatra. Game boots up and plays fine. After several minutes (sometimes an hour) of playing, the drop target won't reset in between balls/games and the top bank of lights on the playfield all go out. It also starts scoring continuously when this happens. I can boot the game up the next day or several hours later and it act fine again...for a little while at least.

Power supply is rebuilt. CPU board has a brand new ROM chip. All the ground mods have been done (PS, CPU and driver board).

I did notice that the ROM chip get really hot after a couple minutes. It is socketed - could the socket be bad?

The CPU to driver board interconnect harness is OEM.

Any suggestions? Anyone make a "kit" with all the connectors for the entire backbox or have a list of all the connectors needed?

Have (2) roms and same thing happens on both. Looks like it's one of those crappy SCANBE sockets!

Repinned all the connectors. They definitely go on harder now. Replaced the PROM socket also.

Same thing keeps happening. PROM chip gets pretty hot within 1 game. Any suggestions?

Quoted from canea:

Icecreamman: Did you ever get this problem resolved? I'm dealing with a similar problem and would appreciate your imput. I've replaced the PS board and driver board, did the ground mods, checked all fuses, etc. I have not repinned the connectors.
Game boots fine, starts game and then after a couple drop targets, the scoring becomes continuous until powered off. I thought I read on one of the wikis that this problem could be a bad PROM, but it sounds like you've tried several. If there's something that solved the problem for you and will get me out of repinning, I'd love to hear it.

About the same time was game was acting up the displays turned out. Purchased a new Wi-Numpf CPU board and the game plays great. No issues at all since the new board.
