Housing a CFTBL for a friend and during multiball, it will often call out to Shoot the Snackbar, which is what happens when one of the balls has drained (snackbar restarts the multiball). Trying to figure out the cause as it doesn’t do it all the time. Thinking maybe a trough switch issue?

Sounds normal to me
If you have already collected a jackpot it won’t restart multiball

It will also say it when the jackpot is ready.

No, there has been no jackpot collected. It will do it sometimes within a couple seconds of multiball starting. So it’s definitely not correct, as this is behavior when you drain a ball during multiball.

Likely is trough related- and Creech has a very simple design...just 3 switches (they aren't Cherry microswitches)...make sure everything 'looks' good from a wire/solder standpoint - diodes too....then check the switches in switch test - repeatedly exercising them (may need to take off the apron for ease)....if original - they are old - a shot of Deoxit could help if you aren't convinced...

Do you see the countdown on the display when this happens?

Yeah, Creech is very simple - only a two ball multiball. Still love it though, such a fun pin.

Yes, countdown happens which is why I think it's a trough issue. Pretty sure the machine thinks the ball has drained already. Doesn't ALWAYS happen, so feels like a faulty switch in the trough is likely the cause. Will report back when I know.
