In the middle of playing a game the bottom right upkicker stopped working. Had to turn the game off and take the balls out manually. I went in to the solenoid test and solenoids 4, 5 and 6 are not firing but ALL of the rest are working appropriately. Fuses for those three check out. Wiring for all looks good. Any ideas to the problem. I was trying to decipher the schematic, but I have not been able to figure out where they are controlled on the board.

I don't have the manual for Big Hurt but if you lost three solenoids at once, and the fuses are all good, that tells me you likely have a wiring problem. Power is chained from one solenoid to the next. Start with the solenoid that is closest to the rear of the playfield that is not working. Check the wiring on the lug that has two wires and make sure the solder connection is secure.

okay, thanks I will give it a shot. It just seemed strange it happened in the middle of a game.

Checked the wiring on all solenoid coils and everything associated with them and everything seems fine.

Ya, it was really strange. Was working just fine then, bam, no more upkickers.

Just going to post here in case anybody ever has the same problem. It issue turned out to be the small board right next to the shooter lane that has the giant capacitor on it. The plug, while in the socket, wasn't pushed in all of the way. I guess when we were hooking everything back up we didn't get it secured and it vibrated out during play.

Now if we could figure out a few other little annoyances like the ball auto plunging on the first ball of a game, we will be set.

My son found the problem, a plug not seated on one of the boards. We are back at hitting homeruns. thanks
