    I am curious to know how the J1 connector changed between these two. Perhaps the -49 was an intermediate step in that a 9th pin was added to that connector. The -18 only had 8 pins.

    In the Embryon manual it shows that pin 9 on the -51 is simply labeled as Spare Gnd, however on Clays repair guide the -49 version of the board states that pin 9 is, like pin 7, a Switched Illumination Buss.

    Can anyone offer a better description of pin 9 on the -51 board?
