I removed the magnets from the back and let them hang, I can't remember exactly what else I had to do, but took pictures while tearing down, maybe they'll help:

I removed the subway ramp and cleaned, but I bought the machine with all new ramps so I have several old ramps (not the jump ramp) if you end up needing one.

I didn't clean the ramps, just by chance the machine I bought included a set of new ramps, not yet installed. I have the old ramps in a pile in the basement. When I do clean ramps I use Mean Green and Novus 2. I haven't tried flame polishing ramps yet, not sure if that would help.
