Quoted from GorillaBiscuits:

no scoop, no drops, no toy, no third flipper.

Sounds like they are on the right track!

#33 5 years ago

Nowhere for the ball to stop and make you watch some stupid video clip or wait for instructions is a win in my book.

#35 5 years ago
Quoted from NPO:

Are you flipping kidding me??????? Holy fuck, this community is just getting annihilated.

I guess that's the price we will have to pay to eliminate the lousy licensed theme and all the garbage that goes with it.

#47 5 years ago
Quoted from mcluvin:

So you like the theme and think it looks fun?

Looks real fun to me! The price not so much.

Anytime actually playing the ball is the most important of the game, it is the kind of game I want to play.

#56 5 years ago
Quoted from RJW:

The Mafia is a family friendly theme?

Got that right, daddy-o.

Quoted from CrazyLevi:

So you are gonna buy this thing?

Would save me a ton of money over Supreme. And I wouldn't even have to switch to Geico.

Quoted from OnTheSnap:

both my kids 6 and 10 are 1000% more into playing TNA over my other more in depth pins.

That explains it then. I have the pinball mentality of an 8 year old

#60 5 years ago

Why family friendly anyway? Who really cares what the lamest 10% of pinball players want.

#64 5 years ago
Quoted from mcluvin:

This theme isn't cool. It's cornballish.

I remember when cornballish in pinball was cool. Not that long ago. Perhaps it is pinball itself that has become uncool.

#68 5 years ago
Quoted from RJW:

Believe me I don't. Just thought it was humorous to call a pin about an organization whose business revolves around murder, extortion, prostitution, gambling, drugs etc as family friendly.

At least it's milder than some religious or bible theme.

#69 5 years ago

I don't know what is family friendly these days.

When I was a kid I wanted horror and monster movies and shoot em up TV shows where at least a few people got killed and if there was a card game or gambling involved, even better!

#72 5 years ago
Quoted from OnTheSnap:

My 6 year old wants to be a ninja.

Sleep lightly, my friend.

#76 5 years ago
Quoted from CrazyLevi:

The retro concept surely can work but it needs a hook.

So are you saying a pirate theme would be better? Well, I do know where you can order one.

Unknown (resized).jpgUnknown (resized).jpg
#78 5 years ago
Quoted from FlippyD:

a theme park ride called Pirates of the Caribbean where you literally watch robotic pirates sack, pillage, and burn a village.

And take a wench for a bride! That is kind of the way a lot of families get started even now.

#80 5 years ago
Quoted from DaveH:

This is also $7500 worth of pinball.

But only one I see that I really want to play or look at every day. And you can barely see it. All the way down on the far left end.

#84 5 years ago
Quoted from ForceFlow:

Half price, and it would sell like gangbusters.

That's where I'm at. I'm loving the overall look and vibe of this game, but at under $5k would be a very tempting price point.

I don't mind losing a few dollars to this hobby, as it's happened more than once when I got the NIB itch, but buying this for $7500 plus whatever takes to get it here and then trying to sell it later if I tire of it, that chunk of change lost might be a bit harder to swallow.

#88 5 years ago
Quoted from RCA1:

Looks like no multi-ball

Another win! No ball locks or any other useless holes to slow the gameplay action.

#95 5 years ago
Quoted from CrazyLevi:

If Stern tried to pull this you guys would
Form a lynch mob.

Kinda like what they are doing with Supreme.

Pinside in general may not get it, but not everybody in the pinball world has been hiding under a rock for the last 30 years.

#98 5 years ago
Quoted from mnpinball:

Save your comments, copy and paste for Beatles

I'm just surprised they never tried to squeeze any more out of Elvis.

#107 5 years ago
Quoted from cooked71:

Why wouldn’t you just buy Jetsons for $2k less?

I prefer cartoon characters that drink, smoke, gamble, and use guns. That in itself is worth somewhat more.

#109 5 years ago

It would be with my family.

#111 5 years ago
Quoted from Sidekick74:

Where are the mods for this game? Seriously.

They've been out there, just waiting for this game to happen.

Quoted from o-din:

It would be with my family.

Why did politicallycorrectprogrammer's post about Family Friendly get deleted?

Used to see a little explanation to help us understand the rights and wrongs of pinside. No rules were broken that I could see.

I know, keep your mouth shut or they will do the same to you.

Sorry. Carry on......

#116 5 years ago

I just found a perfect topper for this game.

#118 5 years ago
Quoted from pcprogrammer:

I was changing it on my phone to something more clever, then it was gone. Who knows, I don't think it was deleted, just a glitch.

I thought it was pretty clever the way it was.

It's weird because it did seem like a glitch as I've tried to delete my own posts on occasion and I can't. I can edit it, but it remains just the same.

So I figured it got moderated because on my post that quoted you it said deleted as well. Certainly no pinside rules that I know of were broken. Believe me, I get reminded what they are, and very often.

#120 5 years ago
Quoted from pcprogrammer:

I swear it had something to do with it being on my phone. It has happened before to me when I edit a post on my phone.

Still doesn't explain how where I quoted it on my post it turned into "deleted post".

Pure pinside magic, I tell ya!

#122 5 years ago
Quoted from pcprogrammer:

Years back you could delete posts, right?

Yeah, one night I think I did about 1000 of them.

Now they randomly disappear by themselves.

I still get credit for them in my overall post count though, but in reality only a fraction of those remain, so I keep trudging them along.

#124 5 years ago
Quoted from Anonymouse:

Any pin is a good choice for a pin

Especially one with a middle finger to PC culture.

#172 5 years ago
Quoted from NeilMcRae:

might be worth playing the game before condemning guys.

I usually like to do that before buying one too.

Supreme being the exception as most of those are locked up in some rich dude's mansions and there really is no where around here to play one.

#206 5 years ago
Quoted from iceman44:

it wouldn’t be Pinside without the dramatic

#211 5 years ago
Quoted from Frippertron:

I like that the rules are hurry up based, so Mafia might be more fun than it looks, creating tension and pressure. Hopefully it works well.

That's what I've said all along.

Beside the simple layout, you don't have the biggest drawback of most newer games-

No where for the ball to stop to make you wait for some stupid video clip or instructions what to do next..

#215 5 years ago
Quoted from Mr68:

I'm not seeing any, Shut up and take my money memes

Perhaps that money's already all gone.

#218 5 years ago
Quoted from Mr68:

A reliable source told me there's a national meme shortage.

But again, what good does complaining about it do you?

#228 5 years ago
Quoted from Tuna_Delight:I scratched my unique (oddball) NIB game purchase itch with Pabst Can Crusher and paid for it in the long run. Ain't gonna do it again for a similarly simple game with much less aesthetic appeal and an even higher price.

Truth is there isn't almost any new game you can't pick up on the secondary market for cheaper once the initial hype wears off. Except maybe LEs or in the rare case a fabulous low production machine like Supreme.

Many people were laughing and insulting at just the idea Batman66 Super LE was to be sold for $15k. But good luck finding one at that price now.

Quoted from mikekemp:

i stopped using Pinside.
