I'm strongly thinking about starting a team league here that can run in between our regular New England Pinball League sessions. It'll be for all skills levels, but I'm hoping to draw people in to competing for the first time. No WPPRs, obviously, because it'll be a team format.
Questions:
1) Any thoughts on making it draft vs. bring your own team?
2) 4 player teams seem to be the standard. Any reason to do something else?
3) I'm probably going with golf format. The small twist is that I also want to have two holes each week that require split flipper pairs. In other words:
* 6 holes each week.
* 2 of the holes must be played as split flipper.
Should I designate the split flipper holes ahead of time or is it reasonable to let the teams decide when to play as split flipper? I'm leaning toward letting the teams do what they want -- it should add both a degree of strategy and also more freedom.
Any thoughts, insights, or experience you might have is appreciated.
