I was wondering if I can use a LM1875 in place of the TDA2040 on Surf N Safari.

I am also open to any other options for replacement as these are no longer available.

Alright,so I found that the pinout is the same and should work but may need more voltage to drive it.
Looked around and got good info from guitar amp enthusiasts.

TDA2050 should work, looks like a superior part too.

I have used HGSemi TDA2003 and various Jelly bean op amps, comparators and 74HC chips a few times when western brands have been not available and there has never been an issue.
