I was finally able to track down the intermittent "P-ROC NOT FOUND" error on our The Big Lebowski. We have bad USB ports on the computer in the backbox. Turns out that both of the USB ports on top left of the board are bad. It started out as an intermittent problem and got progressively worse, and eventually it was a constant error. Initially when troubleshooting this I tried connecting the P-ROC board to the other top left USB port, and didn't see any difference. Didn't notice at the time that there was another pair of USB ports so I never tried connecting the P-ROC there. There's a wireless dongle in one of the upper right USB ports, but since wireless capability has not yet been enabled it's no problem removing that and connecting the two USB cables from the left ports (P-ROC and sound) to the right ports.
I didn't bother posting this over in the Dutch Pinball sub-forum. The way things are blowing up over there I didn't think anyone would notice it.
