Thinking I'm going to rework that ramp support that pulls down instead of supports.. that thing is what keeps me up at night now. Plus a lot of the stuff like this support from ARA is sharp.. like they aren't doing a good post processing job.. deburring / sanding the parts after they are cut from the sheets.

Quoted from sd_tom:

what more are people honestly expecting

At least a few more chances for extra balls and for those on location free play limits, more bonus multipliers maybe.
Apart from that I'm with you - there's more than enough to do and I will also never see the wizard mode.....

#53 2 years ago

Thanks for feedback on ramps Tom. Diverters OK?

Diverter is fine, they are made of pretty thick metal, they aren't going to break. I have two of them anyway.. the old one I modded and the replacement. New one could be sanded a bit ( sharp edges)

Has anyone else had an issue with getting the slide locks to engage when raising the pf? Mine has gotten progressively worse over time. I am having to raise/lower push/pull the playfield upwards of a dozen times now to get the locks to engage.

#56 2 years ago

I have had problems getting an initial click but that's usually cause I'm in a hurry and don't take the time to wait for it to click. Never had an actual problem if I was taking my time.

These are standard parts I would think , hard to mess that up short of not mounting correctly and things getting bent? I can take photos of mine plus my IJ to see if there's actually any difference in that mech.

Facebook says today is my 1 year anniversary of arrival. Wouldn't of guessed that a year later things would be where they are

I wouldn't have guessed when I paid for mine in 2014 that would would have been held hostage in a manufacturing dispute in 2017. Thankfully I received a full refund...I'm surprised the rest of the pre-orderers have been so quiet.

Does anyone know how to clear/reset the high scores on TBL?

#63 2 years ago

Have you checked the service menu from the coin door?

Quoted from yonkiman:

#64 2 years ago

Yep - my friends and I have been through every single menu item and sub-menu item.

Thinking I may just get a keyboard and mouse and look at any text config files I can find...

#65 2 years ago

Your options currently are:
Software Menu > Current version > Factory Reset (but this resets settings and audits as well)
or
Player Profiles > Select a profile, and delete it (do this for all profiles and their highscores are deleted as well).

#66 2 years ago

I'm in the club with #3. very few issues in the first few weeks. Hoping to pull it from location very shortly.

Thanks! Would be great to just be able to reset the high scores, but at least we can clear out the previous owner's scores and have a level playing field now that our fearless leader has made it 3 times harder to play.

Dont know if this is common knowledge or not, but trying to figure this out took me into the depths of the machine, and I discovered that the operating system is Ubuntu 14.04, and all of the songs & fallouts & sound effects are .wav files. So it should be really easy to swap in different songs and/or see what happens when you find a stranger in the Alps.

(I'm planning to sneak in one night and change all the songs to the Eagles Greatest Hits.) (I mean, The Stranger did tell the Dude to "Take It Easy"...)

Do you think there will be an owners manual in Chinese?

fishbeadtwo Is your TBL at Seattle pinball museum? If so I dropped about $20 a few days ago playing it and didn’t have one hiccup. (Same goes for all of your games.) Greg is the man!

#70 2 years ago

adamross, yes it is there for a few more days.....It plays pretty good. Thanks for the kind words and yes our tech Greg does a great job.

Nice!

Welcome to another update on the status of the production of The Big Lebowski™ Pinball.

The coming weeks are quite exciting as we are nearing the final phase for production to start. We expect the last paperwork to be ready next week and then we have green light to start production. This means parts can be ordered, the production line is being prepared as well as all the work instructions, drawings and many other details that are needed for assembly. In the previous update we said we expect production to begin April/May, this has changed a little bit, and we now expect it to be May/June.

In the last update we also told you that Engineering Sample no. 4 was almost on its way to our HQ. A week later the game arrived without any damage. And even more important: the game worked perfectly!

We also came across this very cool video tutorial of the Big Lebowski™ Pinball from Bowen Kerins which shows you it will be worth the wait. This game will be yours:

We will come with a new update in a few weeks, or when there’s other significant news.

P.S. There is a rumor that Barry was hit by a car. Fortunately this is not true. Barry is fine

Is this the right place to find answers to help make my The Big Lebowski function for as long as possible? This is the closest thing I've found that isn't just full of ranting. I'm interested in details like: what are these solenoids that need to be replaced with weaker ones (and where can one order them)? What plastics should be protected before playing the game, and how? What can be done to protect various susceptible parts (I've seen one machine that wouldn't eject the ball to the plunger because some metal bits wore down--maybe there's some way to mitigate that). Thanks for any pointers, and I hope to find the other 49 owners out there to help keep some of these machines running well for a while.

not quite correct, I got weaker coils from Barry for the slingshots. The ones they used on my #18 were too strong.
I would have to look it up in the machine which ones I have in there now.

#76 9 months ago

For how much? Has the rumor mongering or lack of any lawsuit progressed impacted the cost lately?

#77 9 months ago

I’m in with #30.

#78 9 months ago

I need to figure out how to set the coin-door to accept krugerrands, so everyone who asks to play a game has a way to pay a reasonable price per play!

I’m hoping if I end up with one of the 40
Games from CT I would be welcome in this forum ?

You should be since you’d qualify. I thought club threads were not supposed to be limited to owners though. Plenty of great comments come from those that play games for $1 and don’t own them.

#81 6 months ago

Sure why not ?

Well I’m excited about getting the game
But I understand the frustration of EA guys. I like mods on most of my games
Like the LED doobie, zig zag shooter decal and hoping some stuff is still available

#83 6 months ago

I have a really cool mod on my TBL.

It's invisible.
