This may be a silly question. Had my Taxi for a couple weeks now and love it. I've noticed that it displays the jackpot value all the time, it never shows the "bonus meter" rolling animation.
I've combed through the manual and cant for the life of me find an adjustment for this.

What am I missing? ROM version?
Thx!

Not sure but wondering if one of the cabinet lane change switches maybe sticking? If the game thinks a flipper is held in all the time perhaps it just shows the jackbot value during play?

It is an LED display. A member of the Taxi club says some LED displays are wired incorrectly and do not allow the game to work properly unless you hack the boards......
So....what's the hack to fix it?

It's a Pinscore. Installed before I got the machine.

Quoted from GLSP3022:

Unless aforementioned member can provide specific details on said wiring issue and the fix I'd guess that's BS. If it's legit some searching on Pinside or Pinwiki should turn up some info.

Pinwiki does mention the lane change switches are problematic. I see some troubleshooting in your future.

Switches work perfectly each and every time in edge test. Holding the flipper does show the jackpot value in the master display. The issue is the slave display. It never switches to the meter bonus.
I have an email out to Pinscore to see if they have ever heard of this 'problem'

SOLVED!!
So Pinscore displays have 2 output headers on the driver board. Taxi requires the slave display to be plugged into the left side for proper operation. It was in the right jack, probably for games like police force.
