Does the background music play: all of, part of, or only a short amount of time during gameplay?

should play all the time. mine didnt when i first got it. had board issues. after boards were repaired, that issue went away.
I remember reading about a bug in the software where the music didn't always start. I do have a Taxi, but I usually have all the video games and other pinball machine on while I'm playing, so Taxi's bell is the only thing that totally rises over the cacophony.

I notice if you start a game immediately after you turn on the power the BG music will not play until the second ball starts. Must be something with sound card initialization.
