So I have a Taxi. The GI has already been done in cool white which I think looks good. However all of the inserts are still incandescent. I usually color match my bulbs to the inserts, but with Taxi, most of the inserts are white. So I’m trying to figure out which white looks best, specifically for the passenger inserts. I’m leaning towards warm or sunlight as the cool might look weird to replicate human flesh. Any pictures to help me decide?

May not be a help for you, but on my taxi I went warm white everywhere except the green inserts. I used the cheap flat top greens for the small green inserts so they weren’t melt your eyes overly bright.

I used warm white for the humans and cool white for pinbot and Dracula, looks really nice.

I left a lot of stuff like the taxis and the green squares incandescent as they were plenty bright as is.

I went with warm white anywhere I didn't color match (red, green, etc.). Very happy with the result.

Any pictures I could look at?

Color matching isnt needed. You're just adding monies and time to a simple situation IMO...but ibalso would have made the alm the GI warm.

So taking pictures of white lights isn't as easy as I hoped, but perhaps this will help. In person, I don't find the faces to be as washed out as they appear in the pictures.

Inserts with numbers, faces, letters on them do worse with colored matching

Never realized how much the Santa insert looks like the Bigfoot from Whitewater!

Hmm I’m thinking I might go warm white on all the people and use cool white on other white inserts, color match the rest. Have to change out some GI that someone decided would look good blue around the C-A-B lanes.

He would not be a popular Santa at the mall...
