* also post in the club

Resto finally over. No credit dots but right GI and left flipper don't work. Still a lot of tuning on the bumpers too. They don't trig in switch level.
The taxi cab toy on the right ramp is a test. Looks big in pics but fits ok. I might add micro leds in it to flash with the ramp.
I'm 90% happy with this 1st resto. I Lerned so much for the next one!
Any idea what I should look for my dead flipper? Fuses are good. It worked well at first and died. I saw some sparks at the coil when I flip...
For the right GI I presume it's a short somewhere or a cold solder?

Quoted from LTG:

Solder joints on the coil lugs first, then thin wire from lug into the coil for breaks or cracks.
LTG : )

Everything looks good.
Is the flipper switch be the problem?
When it was working, the flipper was shaking like crazy when holded up..

More pics if it can help
Thank you very much

Nice job on the resto...

Thanks! Not a Brian Kelly yet but I learn!

Quoted from KornFreak28:

Nice yellow color inside the cab! Did you spray or roll?

Spray.

Quoted from boscokid:

Nice job on restoration but that toy cab looks hideous

I wasn't sure myself. Hideous by it's format, it's position or it just don't belong in the game? Thanks for your input!

Quoted from LTG:

Your EOS needs to be filed clean and tension holding it closed.
LTG : )

You're talking about the twisted leaf on the EOS? Should I buy a new one? I tried to work on it but it's not easy to make everything straight.
Thanks

Quoted from Kneissl:

Also, doesn't taxi use a cap on that switch to keep the Sparks down? Oh, and upgrade the spring to wpc style, get rid of that plunger sping.

Cab you guide me on what you mean by "cap" and splunger sping.
Cab you find picture from Marco's catalogue? I'm more visual.
Thanks Kneissl

Quoted from boscokid:

I think it looks out of place. It took me 10 years to accept LEDs so my opinion may not hold much weight

Fair enough.

Now what's your position on leds?
I think it's a must for a lot a 90s games.

No advice on the issue, but your restore looks gorgeous!

Man. So good to read that.

I switched the right flipper switch to the left side. It doesn't work even with a proven good switch

Is there something I should look in the backbox since the problem is not the switches or the coil?

Quoted from mbaumle:

Follow LTG's advice: your End of Stroke switch has a very small gap in it (it should be normally closed, and have a fair amount of tension on it). It's not working because the gap prevents high power from getting to the solenoid; and the low power isn't enough to "flip" the flipper.
As for your GI, double check the relay boards for cold solder joints, and reflow solder if necessary. I've found that on both my Whirlwind and Earthshaker, I had cold solder joints on the male pins on the small boards mounted under the playfield, and caused all sorts of issues with the GI.

Are you talking about this board?

Quoted from Kneissl:

Thats one of the gi boards. You sure all the fuses are good?

Yes
Anyways. I'm sending the game to my repair guy. There are things that only years of experience can buy. I'm done with this game. We need a break
